It seems
That whenever people are alone
They play cards
Strange, perhaps
But it makes sense
In some ways
Solitaire
Usually the game of choice
A predictable choice
A lonely game for lonely people
I suppose
You place out seven piles
Seven is a lonely number
There’s always one person left out
One deck has only one card
Lonely card
It’s a game that you can just as easily lose as win
You’re just left feeling worse when you lose
And then you feel that you have to try again
And again
And again
Until you’ve concurred a single game
But sometimes that game never comes
And you’re left feeling discontent
And even more alone
