- Takami's POV -
At the School Entrance
Sachie and I walked toward the school as some boys formed two vertical lines.
"You know that there's a transfer student coming to our school?"
"Really?" I put my hair behind my ear.
"Some of the students saw him near the office and some even say he's cute." Sachie leaned closer to me and smirked.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Oh, nothing." She backed away. "Just get ready for another member of the Takami and Sachie Club."
We walked into the school and took off our shoes.
I sighed. "Seriously... who even came up with that...?"
"Who knows, but at least we got our own club right?" Sachie finished putting on her school shoes and smiled.
"Why are you so happy about this?" I asked. "It's weird to have a club all about yourself." I put on my school shoes and headed for our classroom.
"Oh, come on. They only made it because they admire us. You don't gotta think about it that much." Sachie looked ahead and ran toward a group of girls looking out the window. "What you guys looking at?"
"Junto and Haru!" A girl started to squeal.
I looked outside the window and saw Junto and Haru walking towards the school. Junto, suddenly, looked up and waved at me. I was shocked that he actually noticed me, but I still smiled and waved back. Sachie immediately put her arm around me and waved to Junto as well.
"You think he noticed me?" Sachie whispered in my ear.
I giggled. "The fact that you almost crushed my neck to get into his line of vision, yeah, I think he noticed you."
In the Classroom
"Everyone get in your seats!" Ms. Ono entered the room. "We have a new student transferring into our class today."
"Oooh, so the transfer student is in our class."
"I can't wait to see how he looks like."
"Okay, everyone, be quiet." Ms. Ono looked to the side. "You can come in now. Please introduce yourself."
The transfer student walked in and faced the students. "Hi, my name is Akihiro Kaneko. It's nice to meet you guys." Akihiro bowed down.
Everyone in the class looked toward me, realizing that Akihiro Kaneko was the one who I had a crush on when I was little.
"You can sit next to Takami Hirota. Takami, please, raise your hand." Ms. Ono pointed at me.
As I rose my hand, Akihiro walked toward me. Can it be? I haven't seen him for years and all of the sudden, he's right in front of me. But he said that I got the wrong person. Why would he say that?
Bell Rings
The girls in class immediately surrounded Akihiro. "Hey, Akihiro, where you from?"
"Kami-Shirataki." He didn't make any eye contact with them.
"Kami-Shirataki? That's pretty far from here."
"Wanna go get some lunch, Takami?" Sachie got up from her seat.
"Yeah, sure." I got up as well and followed her out of the classroom.
"Damn, who would've thought that your childhood crush would come back for you," Sachie smirked.
"He isn't here to come back to me, it's just a coincidence." I looked down at the ground. It's just a coincidence... but I don't even know if it's really him...
Sachie and I walked up to the school store to get something to eat. "I'll get the Red Bean Bun and.... what do you want, Takami?"
"Oh, I don't need anything."
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"Yeah."
Sachie got her Red Bean Bun and opened the packaging. "You wanna go by the gymnasium?"
"Why?" I asked as we were already heading there.
"Is it wrong to see my future boyfriend?" Sachie smiled brilliantly.
I sighed. "I guess not."
As we were walking to the gymnasium, we could already see a group of girls covering the doors.
"Um... excuse me!" Sachie started to push the girls to enter the gymnasium.
"Sachie, I don't think that's a good idea." I followed her anyways.
"Move!"
One of the girls pushed me and I lost balance. However, someone was behind me and held onto my shoulders. I looked up and saw Akihiro. My eyes widened and I continued to stare at him.
"You okay?" The sun was right above him, making him look like a prince.
My heart started to beat really fast. I immediately stood back up and turned around to face him. "Um... thank you so much!" I yelled as I bowed down.
"It's not a big deal." He slightly smiled, but, by the looks of it, it seemed fake.
"Takami!" Sachie yelled out my name and I looked back. "Come on!"
"I gotta go." I quickly ran into the gymnasium and sat next to Sachie, who was on the bleachers.
"Wow, just look at how Junto shots the basketball so elegantly." Sachie was amazed with sparkles around her.
I sweat-dropped and awkwardly giggled.
"I see you guys are back here again." Coach Goto walked closer to us.
"Hi, Coach Goto." I stood up from my seat. "Someone here is obsessed with one of your players." I looked at Sachie at the side of my eye.
Coach Goto laughed. "It's okay as long as you guys don't tackle any of them. I can trust you guys but..." He looked at the group of girls at the front of the entrance.
"I know... they pushed me while I was trying to get in here..." I pouted.
"If you guys have any trouble getting in here, just let me know."
I bowed down. "Oh, thank you, Coach."
"Um, excuse me." Akihiro walked up to us. "Is it possible for me to be on the team?"
My eyes widened. Now that I think about it Aki liked playing basketball as well. Can it be? Did I get the right person? Why is this so confusing!
