- Takami's POV -

In the Classroom

I looked out the window and saw the clouds in the sky moving. "I wonder what he's doing right now."

"He's probably having fun without you." Akane walked up to me and smirked.

"Yeah, whatever, I don't have to listen to you." I continued to look outside.

Akane made a disgusted face at me and then looked at me sadly. "So how's Junto?"

I blinked twice and looked at her. "Um... he's undergoing surgery."

"Hope he feels better." She smiled for a second and walked away.

Sachie turned around from her seat and faced me. "You wanna visit Junto again after school?"

"Yeah, sure."

After School

At a Flower Shop

"What are we doing here?" She asked as she looked around the shop.

"I thought maybe bringing him flowers would lighten up the mood in there." I pointed at the different color roses in the vase. "I'll have some red and pink ones."

"You think he's allergic to roses?" Sachie crossed her arms.

The florist handed me the purchased wrapped roses. "You're dating him. Is he?"

"I don't know, he never told me." Sachie exited the shop and I followed.

Suddenly, my phone vibrated. I took out my phone and saw that I got an email from the school. Sachie's phone vibrated after mine.

"Our school is being shut down?" My eyes widened and looked at Sachie.

"I thought Akihiro went back to stop this from happening?" Her eyes widened as well.

I sighed and put away my phone. "Let's just visit Junto first."

At the Hospital

I put the flowers in a vase next to Junto.

"How you feeling?" Sachie asked.

"I'm feeling a lot better after the surgery." Junto touched his legs. "But I can't feel my legs though."

"Look, I'm sorry." I sat on the bed and looked at him. "I didn't mean for this to happen."

"Aki left?" He asked.

I looked to the side. "Um... yeah..."

"All his efforts were a waste because the school's being shut down." Sachie sighed.

"The school's being shut down? Why?" Junto looked at both of us.

"We don't know yet, but I hope it's a misunderstanding." I held onto Junto's arm tightly and tried to hold back my tears. "I don't want to go to school without you guys. We had so many great memories with you guys."

Sachie came over to me and hugged me. "Maybe we can call Akihiro to fix this?"

"We can't. We shouldn't." I looked at both of them. "When he left, he was already miserable. If we tell him our situation, he'll just be worried about us."

Flashback

He came closer to me. "No matter what happens, no matter what it'll take, all that matters is your happiness." He slightly smiled. "I want to preserve your smile."

Back to the Present

I looked to the side and my heart ached. "He said he wanted to preserve my smile. I don't want to make him feel worst, me being like this."

"Once Junto gets better, why don't we visit Akihiro? Depending on his mood, we'll ask him if he can help us." Sachie smiled.

"Sachie, Kami-Shirataki is only the opposite side of Japan. We can't even go there by train because the station is closed." I looked at her sadly.

"How do you know that?" She asked.

"I researched it before Aki was leaving. He probably got there by plane."

"You stalker." Sachie looked at me concerned.

I winked and stuck my tongue out. "Let me call Aki then." I got up from the bed and exited the room. I took out my phone and called him.

Ringing

"Hello?"

My eyes widened and tears started to run down my face. "Aki?"

"Takami? It feels so nice to finally hear your voice."

On the other line, I could hear Aki looking through papers and typing. "How have you been doing? You haven't texted me once, ever since you went back." I paced back and forth in the hospital.

"I'm sorry, I've been so busy with work. My brother just keeps on giving me more work because I left his side for a long time. It's actually been very stressful, but it's worth it if you're happy in Hakata."

"So what if, hypothetically, I wasn't happy?" I scratched my head.

"What's wrong? What happened? I'll come over right now."

I could hear that he was, suddenly, in a rush to get here. "No, nothing happened... Um... So you're willing to come over here if it means more work for you?"

"Of course, I'll do anything for you."

My heart ached, but I managed to pull off a fake smile. "Everything is fine over here, but it seems like you have a lot of work to do."

"Yeah, this is gonna be the rest of my life from now on." He fake giggled. "Staying in my huge house forever."

"I can tell you're saying that you'll never come back." Tears came down my face. "And I'll have to move on?"

"I don't know when I'll be back and my brother's basically keeping me under surveillance."

I didn't know what to say...

"I don't want you to hold you back from someone that you will eventually love. I'm sorry, Takami, be safe."

Call Ends

I put my back against Junto's room door and put my hands over my face as more tears fell down. "Why do you have to care about me... so much...?"

- Akihiro's POV -

In My Office

I walked over to the window and looked up at the sky.

"Master Akihiro, your arranged marriage meeting is in less than a year. You'll have to prepare." My butler, Naoto, bowed.

"Naoto, you ever feel like you've lost someone who you really love?" I continued to look outside.

"No, sir." He put one hand in front of him and the other in the back.

"Well, I just lost someone who has always made me feel like I was the luckiest man in the world..." My heart ached. "...and it hurts."

"Don't worry, master. Your arranged marriage will fix everything."

- Takami's POV -

I walked back into Junto's room.

"So what happened?" Sachie asked.

"We're not telling him."
