Chapter 39: Taiyaki

- Akihiro's POV -

My eyes widened as I looked out the window of my office. "I can't believe it... I've been deceived." I turned around and looked at her angrily. "And you knew about it!" 

Mariko got off the desk and held my hands. "I'm sorry. Kaito decided that it should be a secret so you'll continue to stay here." She smiled like nothing was wrong with that. 

"Are you kidding me...?" I removed her hands away from mine. "I just left the person I love for no reason..." 

Mariko looked at me depressed. "Aki..." She walked up from behind me and hugged me. "Don't be so depressed, I bet she's waiting for you back in Hakata." 

My eyes widened. "You're right. I'm gonna go see Kaito immediately." I opened my office doors and left the room. 

In Front of Kaito's Office

I quickly knocked on the door violently. 

"Come in!" Kenta yelled from inside. 

I walked in and noticed three girls surrounding Kaito on his chair. My face went blank looking at them. "Um..." 

"What do you want, little brother? I'm busy." Kaito didn't even take a glance at me and continued to look at the girls. 

"Did you really buy Hakata Seisho High School to build a factory on it?" I looked at him seriously. 

His eyes widened and looked at me. "Ladies, give us a minute." 

The girls walked past me with their disgusted faces and left the room. 

"Where did you hear that?" He pulled his chair closer to his desk. 

"I realized something was wrong when I went back to Hakata and saw Takami wearing a different school uniform." 

"I see, I should've never let you come with me." He put his hand under his chin. 

I walked closer to him angrily. "How could you do this? You said that if I came back here, you would leave them alone." I put my hand on his desk. 

"Oh, did I?" Kaito took the Rubik's Cube from his desk and started to play with it. 

"Kaito, you made me suffer for no reason." I clenched my hands. 

He looked at me deviously. "This is what father would've wanted. Both of us running his company." 

I yanked my tie off of my collared shirt. "I would never run this company the way it is now. I'm going back to Hakata." I headed out of the office. 

"Aki!" Mariko ran toward my direction while waving her hand in the air. "Are you going back to Hakata?" 

"I'm sorry, Mariko, but I am." I looked to the side, trying to avoid eye contact. 

"Let me come with you." She smiled. 

I tilted my head. "What?" 

"There's no reason for me to stay here anymore. Besides, I'll be fun going to a public school for once." She smiled and clung onto my arm. "I can't wait to share the experience with you." 

I scratched my head and looked out the window of the house. "We should probably start going before Kaito tries to stop us." 

- Takami's POV - 

At the End of the Day

Aoi quickly walked up to me before anyone else could in the classroom. "Wanna hang out after school?" 

"Um...?" I looked over at Kiyoshi who was packing up. 

"Great!" She smiled and yanked me out of school. 

Around the Intersection

I held onto my school bag and looked around while there were many people in the area. "So what did you want to do here?"

 Aoi was in front of me, looking for something. "Tai..." 

I tilted my head. "Tai...?" 

Suddenly, her eyes sparkled when she found the thing she wanted. "Taiyaki!" She yanked my arm and dragged me to the taiyaki stand. 

"One red bean paste taiyaki, one chocolate taiyaki, and... What do you want?" 

I looked up at the menu and saw the different fillings they had. "Um... I'll have the chocolate taiyaki." 

The cashier nodded his head and started to prep our order. 

"You like chocolate too?" Aoi smiled. 

"Yeah, chocolate's my favorite." I smiled as well. 

"Kiyoshi's too." She paid the cashier that was holding onto our taiyakis when they were done. Aoi opened the bag and put her hand in it to grab the taiyaki. "Here's the chocolate one." She pulled it out with a napkin.

I held onto the taiyaki with the napkin and took a bite out of it. "I haven't had taiyaki in soo long."

"Same here. I was craving some during class." Aoi pulled out her red bean taiyaki and took a bite.

I took out my phone and checked the time. "It's already 4:30. I should probably go home." I put my phone back in my school bag.

"Wait, let's go by the school pool to pick up Kiyoshi."

At the School Pool

Aoi and I walked into the school pool building with our shoes on. We looked around and saw the team swimming in the water.

Someone with a whistle walked up to us angrily. "Who are you?"

"I'm Aoi Sato and she is Takami Hirota." Aoi told him.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"They're with me, Coach Mori." Kiyoshi came out of the water and walked up to us.

Coach Mori nodded his head and walked away.

"So what are you guys doing here?" He tilted his head.

I looked at Kiyoshi from top to bottom and I quickly turned away to blush.

Aoi giggled. "Seems like someone is overwhelmed with emotion after seeing your body." She smirked.

Kiyoshi looked at my back and blushed as well. "I should probably go cover up."

I put my hands over my face and continued to see his body from memory. "This is too much for me to handle..."

Time Lapse: 15 Minutes Later

Kiyoshi came out of the locker room with Satoru and Ren and they walked toward us.

"What's in the bag?" Satoru tried to grab the bag, but Aoi quickly slapped it away.

"This is for Kiyoshi." Aoi handed it over to him.

Kiyoshi looked inside the bag and his eyes sparkled. "Chocolate taiyaki!" He grabbed the taiyaki out of the bag and looked at all of us. "You guys wanna share?"

"I mean, if you insist." Satoru smirked, wanting a piece of free taiyaki.

Kiyoshi split the taiyaki and gave each and everyone of us a piece. He took a bite and smiled happily. "Ahh, nothing better than a little snack after practice."

I took a bite of the taiyaki as well and smiled. "Chocolate is soo good."

"You like chocolate?" He looked at me.

I smiled. "Yep."

Suddenly, sparkles surrounded the two of us. Kiyoshi continued to look at me surprised that we both like chocolate.

"Aww, love birds," Aoi and Satoru said in unison.

Ren took a bite of the taiyaki. "Wow, this is very good."
