Chapter 14: Deciding Partners

- Takami's POV - 

I walked through the entrance and didn't see the two parallel lines of boys. I looked around and saw all of them preparing for the Moon Watching. 

I smiled, "This is a lot better." 

I took another step and the boys immediately form their usual lines. "Good morning, Takami." 

I put my head down and sighed. "Good morning." 

I walked into the school and put on my school shoes.

"Takami!!!" Sachie ran towards me from outside of the school. "You left me!!!"

"You weren't in front of my house so I just left." I smiled.

"And you didn't bother to call??!" Sachie came closer to my face.

"Sorry about that." I sweat-dropped.

She put on her school shoes and we walked to the classroom.

"You excited for the Moon Watching?" I asked her.

"Yep, I can't wait to ask Junto." Sachie squealed.

I was shocked. "You're really gonna ask him?"

"Yeah," She punched the air. "I have to act to get what I want. I can't just keep waiting around."

"That's the spirit!" I looked forward and saw Junto walking up to us. "Hey, Junto, what's up?" 

"Do you want to watch the moon together?" He looked at me. 

I didn't know what to say. I looked over at Sachie, trying to avoid this moment. "I'm sorry, I can't go to the Moon Watching with you." 

"Why not?" He asked. 

"Because..." I looked behind me and saw Aki walking toward us. "Because I'm watching it with Aki." I smiled at Junto. 

"Aki?" 

"Yeah, what's up?" Aki stopped walking. 

"We're going to watch the moon together." I smiled at him and dragged him to class. 

"Wait, what?" He continued to get dragged. Junto and Sachie looked at us walking away. "What did you do that for?" He asked. 

"Junto asked me to watch the moon with him and I needed a reason to get out of it." I looked behind me and I couldn't see them. 

"Takami, you know that Junto likes you, right?" 

I looked up at Aki. "I know that, but I don't want to hurt his feelings. Besides, Sachie likes Junto." 

"Sachie likes Junto?" Aki thought about it. "Never would've guessed." 

"That's why I can't go out with him. Are you that dense?" I opened the classroom door and walked in. 

Aki followed me. "Me???" 

- Sachie's POV - 

"Why does she always blow me off?" Junto scratched the back of his head. 

"Since she doesn't want to go with you, why don't we go together?" I closed my eyes tightly. Please don't say no. 

"Sure, why not? It'll be fun." He smiled. 

I looked at him and smiled widely. "Yeah." 

"Oh, Junto!!!" Akane ran toward us. "Wanna watch the moon together?" 

"Sorry, I'm going with Sachie." 

Akane looked at me angrily. "You will rue the day, Sachie Maeda." She walked away from us and went to the classroom. 

I sweat-dropped. "Is she really Miss World Japan?" 

Junto chuckled. 

- Takami's POV - 

"So we're going to the Moon Watching together, right?" I leaned over to Aki who was sitting down on his desk. 

He sighed, then smiled. "Fine." 

I blushed and my heart started to beat really fast. "Thanks." 

"Takami!" Sachie ran into the classroom and hugged me. 

"What happened?" I asked. 

"Junto said yes! I'm going to the Moon Watching with him!" Both of us squealed. 

Aki kicked his legs back and forth. "Seriously? I would've thought he'd go with Akane." Sachie looked at Aki angrily and Aki sweat-dropped. 

"Right?" Akane walked up to us. "I can't believe he said no to me." 

Aki rolled his eyes. "Hey, Akane." 

"Hey, Akihiro." Akane held Aki's arm.

My mouth dropped to the floor. "Hey!!!" I pointed at her arm. 

"What's your problem? It's not like he's your property." Akane smirked. 

Flames started to surround me. "Calm down, Takami," Sachie said. 

"So, Akihiro, wanna go to the Moon Watching with me?" Akane clung to his arm tighter. 

"Sorry, I'm going with Takami." He looked at me and smiled. I, suddenly, cooled down. 

"Ugh! Why is it always those two!" Akane stormed back to her seat. 

"Why does Akane target us?" I asked Sachie. 

"Who knows. Probably because we're cooler than her." Sachie smirked. 

I giggled. "Are we really that cool?" 

"Um... hello? No regular school girl will make boys form two lines for her." Aki said. 

"But it's not my fault! I didn't ask them too!" I yelled. Sachie and Aki looked at each other and laughed. "Why are you guys laughing!"
