Chapter 11: Akane Saito

- Takami's POV -

I entered the school and saw Junto waiting for me by the shoe lockers.

"Hey, Junto." I opened my shoe locker and saw him bowing next to me.

"I'm so sorry! You finally agreed to go out with me and I bailed on you."

I finished putting on my school shoes and closed the locker. "It's fine. You had something to do." I headed for my classroom and Junto followed.

"Are you sure? I should at least repay you."

"It's fine." I smiled.

"Junto!" Mayako came running towards him.

"What's wrong, Mayako?" Junto turned around to look at her.

She took out her clipboard. "We have to organize the Moon Watching today, so please be on time."

"No problem. Oh, Takami, what would you like in the Moon Watching?" He looked at me.

"Um... anything is fine with me," I smiled. "I don't wanna be a burden." 

"No, don't think like that. If you want something, just ask." Junto smiled at me. 

"Thanks."

Junto followed Mayako and went to the Student Council Office. I opened my classroom doors and Sachie reading through a magazine. 

"What you reading?" I asked as I put my bag on my desk. 

"Did you know Akane Saito is coming to our school as a transfer student!" Sachie squealed. "I can't wait." 

"Who's Akane Saito?" 

"Are you serious?" She held the magazine to her chest and looked at the ceiling. "She's an actor, a model, and a singer. She's even nominated to be Miss World Japan." 

"Damn, she must be a big deal." 

"Not really." Aki walked up to his desk. "She used to be my childhood friend." 

"Are you serious!" Sachie walked up to his face. "Can you get me an autograph then?" Her eyes sparkled. 

"Why don't you ask her yourself when she comes here?" 

"Because she's Akane Saito. I can't just walk up to her casually." 

Ms. Ono walked into the room and we all sat in our seats. "Good morning, class. I have an exciting announcement. We have a new transfer student today." 

"Akane Saito! Oh yeah! Bring her in!" Sachie stood up on her chair. 

I sweat-dropped and Ms. Ono. "Oh fine. Akane, come on." 

Akane Saito walked into the classroom elegantly and faced the classroom. "Hello, my name is Akane Saito. I hope we'll have a good school year together." She bowed down. 

"OH MY GOD! AKANE SAITO!" Everyone stood up in excitement. 

Akane smiled, "I guess, you guys already know who I am." 

"Who wouldn't!" Sachie yelled. "You're an idol across the world!" 

"Ohh, you flatter me." 

"Now, let's see where you're gonna sit." Ms. Ono looked around. 

"There's an empty seat in front of me, Ms. Ono!" Sachie pushed the guy in front of her out of his seat. 

I put my head down. "I can't take this embarrassment." Aki awkwardly giggled. 

"I mean, I don't want to be a hassle. If he wants that seat, he can take it." Akane started to shed tears. 

"Of course, you can sit here." The guy moved to a different seat, while Akane sat in the seat. 

"It's nice to meet you, Akane." Sachie sat back in her seat. 

She turned around. "It's nice to meet you too." She looked directly at Aki and smiled. 

During Lunch

"Akihiro!" Akane jumped onto him. My mouth dropped to the floor. "I haven't seen you in like forever." 

Aki put his hand behind his head. "Well, you were on tour most of the time." 

"I know. You must've missed me a lot." Akane continued to hug him. 

Steam started to come out of my ears as I sat next to them. "Takami, you're boiling," Sachie whispered into my ears. 

I sighed and stood up. "It's fine. This doesn't bother me." I stormed off and slammed the door open. 

"I'll see you later, Mayako." Junto looked to his left and walked forward. Once he walked forward, he bumped into me and we both fell on the floor. 

"Ow." I opened my eyes and saw Junto on top of me. "Uh...." 

Once Junto opened his eyes, I started to blush hard and so did he. Everyone in the class started to say, "Oooh." 

Immediately, Junto got off of me. "Sorry, Takami." Junto looked the other way, trying to avoid eye contact. 

I looked at the floor still blushing. "Um... it's okay." 

"You okay?" Aki walked up to me and stood out his hand. 

"Yeah." I took his hand and got up. 

Sachie walked over and pouted. "Why are you always in the best situations?" 

"Best situations?" I looked over at Junto. "Wait, what are you even doing here? Don't you have basketball practice?" 

"Basketball practice is canceled today. Also as the Student Council President, I thought I should introduce myself to Akane Saito." 

Akane walked up to Junto and smiled. "Introduce away." 

"I'm Junto Bando, the Student Council President. It's an honor to meet you."

"The honor is all mine." Akane giggled. 

Sachie and I tilted our heads. "Could it be?" I said. 

"Akane likes Junto!!!"
