- Takami's POV -

In Elementary School

"Are you okay with walking home alone?" My teacher asked.

"Yep. I don't want to bother my parents since they already have so much work to do." I held onto my backpack ready to go.

"Well, get home safe." She waved at me as I walked farther from the school.

As I turned around, I tried to make a straight face. I can't believe I'm walking home alone! It's soo overwhelming! Do I even remember my way home???

"Master Akihiro." I looked to my left and saw a mansion. Damn! I wanna live here! "You have a piano lesson at 3 and an etiquette class at 5." I stuck my head inside the gate and saw a butler and a boy around my age.

"Whatever." The boy rolled his eyes.

"You wouldn't want to disappoint your father." The butler walked away from him and the boy continued to look down at the ants walking.

I pushed my way through the gate and got in. I walked closer to the boy. "What you doing?" I asked.

He looked up at me surprised. "How did you get in here!" He backed away from me.

"I squeezed my way in." I pointed at the gate where I left my bags outside.

He continued to let his guard up. "What do you want with me?"

"What do I want?" I asked myself. "For you to play with me." I smiled.

"Why is that?" He asked.

"Why? I actually don't know why."

"Fine." He blushed and let out his hand. "My name is Akihiro Kaneko, nice to meet you."

"I'm Takami Hirota."

- ???'s POV -

Inside the Mansion

"A random girl has entered our property, sir."

"Just let it be, we'll be leaving soon anyways." Boss looked out the window.

I bowed down. "Of course."

- Takami's POV -

"You have a pretty interesting life." I picked some flowers from the garden, just like the boy.

"Why do you say that?" He asked.

"You have piano and etiquette lessons. Whatever etiquette means."

Akihiro giggled and looked up at the sky. "It's getting pretty late."

I turned around and looked at the sky as well. "You're right. The sun isn't even there anymore." I walked to the gate and grabbed my bookbag. "I guess I'll see tomorrow." I looked back and smiled.

"Tomorrow?" He asked.

"Yeah, that's okay with you, isn't it?"

He was hesitant and flattered at the same time. "Um... yeah! I'll see you tomorrow!" Akihiro smiled brightly.

The Next Day

After School

"What you doing after school?" One of my friends asked.

"I'm going to the mansion down the street." I smiled while holding my backpack.

"That mansion? " She pointed at the huge building in front of us.

"Yeah, I have a friend who's waiting for me in there." I slid into the gate and looked around the garden.

"Takami! Are you sure you wanna barge into someone's house!" As I walked into the garden, her voice started to go faint. I looked around but I couldn't see Akihiro anywhere. "I wonder where he is?" I asked myself.

"Master Akihiro is taking his piano lessons right now." The butler walked up behind me.

"Oh, you're the butler that was next to Akihiro yesterday."

"Would you allow me to escort you to Master Akihiro, Mistress Takami?" I bowed down in front of me.

"How do you know my name?" I asked as he takes me to Akihiro.

"Akihiro has talked about you non-stop since yesterday. To be honest, you're the first real friend that the boss has not hired."

The butler took me to a room with a grand piano where someone was playing a song. All the windows were opened and it was like the sunlight was the spotlight for that one person.

"So beautiful..." Once I spoke, the person turned around. "Akihiro?"

"Oh, Takami!" He jumped off the chair and ran toward me. "I didn't know you would come this early."

"I just ended school and came straight here."

"I'll leave you two alone." The butler left the room.

"I told you I was gonna teach you how to learn the piano, right?" Akihiro grabbed my arm toward the piano. "So this is G, B, F#, D..." My head started to spin around. I'm not processing anything... "Do you get it?" He asked.

I sweat-dropped. "Yep."

"Let me show you all of my piano notes." He pulled out a huge binder from the inside of the chair.

"God damn!!!" I slowly backed away.

"Years worth of piano lessons and I would say I'm pretty good." He smiled brilliantly.

"Why don't we do something else?" I awkwardly giggled.

"Like what?" Akihiro put his notes back into the chair. Thank god.

"Maybe the park?"

"I don't go out often so I don't think I've ever been to a park." He covered the piano and headed out of the room.

"How come?" I asked as I followed him.

"My father doesn't really like me going outside. When I was little, I was almost kidnapped because of my father's wealth."

I was shocked by what he said. "Oh, sorry." I looked to the side.

"Don't be." Akihiro looked back and smiled. "You got nothing to be sorry about."

"So what about your mom?"

"My mom past away when I was born." Akihiro entered his father's office.

I looked down at the ground. I feel bad for bringing bad memories up. I waited for him outside since I didn't want to interrupt their conversation. I wonder how it feels to not have a mother by your side. Suddenly, the doors opened. "What did he say?"

His eyes started to sparkle. "Yes."

"Yes?"

"Yes."
