- Akihiro's POV -
I sat on my desk in my office and looked through the company's bills for the last year.
"How are the bills looking, little brother?" Kaito crossed his arms and leaned against a bookshelf.
I breathed frustratedly and rolled my eyes. "The company's bills have actually decreased after removing unnecessary parts." I got up from my desk and walked toward the door.
"You do know that you're not going back to see your friends, right?" He smirked.
"For someone who has a name that means supportive, you sure aren't." I walked out and closed the door.
"Remember, you have classes in the afternoon," Kaito said faintly.
In the Garden
I walked around the garden and crouched down at the different types of flowers. "Seems like all the flowers are blooming quite well."
"Of course, honey, you grew them."
I looked back and saw my fiancé. "What are you doing, Mariko?" I got up and walked past her. "Our engagement meeting isn't in a few months."
"I can't greet my future husband?" She pouted.
I walked back up to her. "This engagement was arranged by my stupid brother. I never agreed to this."
Suddenly, Mariko started to shed tears. "But... I really do love you, Aki."
"Never call me Aki." I turned around and walked away. "Now, if you don't mind, I have classes to attend."
Time Lapse: 2 Hours Later
"Good work today." Mr. Soga walked out of my office with the schoolwork.
I turned my chair around and looked out the window. "It's like I'm trapped here... I just wanna be next to you."
Suddenly, Mariko came from behind my chair and hugged me. "I'll always be next to you."
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "Mariko, you know I love someone else, right?"
She smiled. "I know... I'll try extremely hard for you to see me like her."
I sighed. "No one can replace her."
- Takami's POV -
Most of the students in class huddled around my desk.
"What school did you go to before you transferred here?" One of the girls asked.
"Hakata Seisho," I answered.
"Oh, the school that was bought by the Kaneko Company. I heard about it on the news." A guy said.
I looked down and smiled sadly. "Yeah..."
"Guys, give her some space. She's new here and she's probably overwhelmed." Kiyoshi walked up from behind.
For some reason, when Kiyoshi came over, I felt at ease.
"Oh, come on, Kiyoshi, we just want to get to know our new transfer student." One of the girls smiled.
"Yeah, I know, but she needs space." He put his hands on top of my chair.
The students pouted. "Oh, fine." Then, they dispersed.
I turned around and smiled. "Thanks for that. I really don't want others to be so obsessed with me."
"No problem." Kiyoshi smiled. "So you wanna get some lunch?"
"Sure."
In the Lunchroom
"Wow!" I looked around. "This place is soo big! It's like a food court!"
Kiyoshi giggled. "Your school's lunchroom was smaller?" He asked.
I scratched my head. "Well, I've actually never been to the lunch room in my old school."
"What? Then how can you say this place is big?" He tilted his head.
"I usually go to the gymnasium so I never went. Besides, this place is still big." I went up to a vending machine that makes heated meals. "This is weird."
"What do you want to eat?" He went up to the machine.
"I'm actually not that hungry. I only came here for you." I looked at him happily.
He was speechless for a second and then giggled. "I came here for you."
I giggled along with him. "So what do you usually do during lunch?"
"I usually watch the swim team practice." He walked out of the lunchroom and I followed.
At the School's Pool
"Damn! A school pool?" I looked around excitedly.
"Where do you think we practice?" He stood on the side of the pool as I wandered around.
"I don't know. A local pool?"
"Hey, Kiyoshi, you came here to practice?"
I looked at the pool as someone with a swim cap and boxers came up. "Oh my god." I quickly covered my eyes.
"Nah, just showing the transfer student around." Kiyoshi pointed at me.
"Oh, hey. I'm Satoru Higa." He put out his hand for me to shake.
I continued to cover my eyes and tried to find his hand with only the sense of touch. Finally, I found his hand after a few seconds and shook it. "Hi, I'm Takami Hirota."
Satoru giggled. "I'll see you guys around." He went back into the boy's locker room.
My eyes were still covered. "Is he still there?"
Kiyoshi giggled. "Nope." He grabbed my arms and put them down. "He's gone."
"Phew, that was close. I'm not ready to see a man's body yet."
All of a sudden, he started to laugh. "Hahahaha!"
I pouted. "What's so funny?!?!"
