Chapter 31: Mystery Guy

- Takami's POV - 

In the Classroom

"Students, the assistant principal would like to talk to you all." Ms. Ono introduced her. 

"Hello, students." The assistant principal put her hands behind her back. "As all of you know, the school would be shutting down." 

Everyone started to murmur, and a student shouted, "Why!" 

"The Kaneko Company has bought the school and is planning to build a factory here." 

Sachie's and my eyes widened. "That's Aki's(Akihiro's) company." 

"We have one more week left in this school, so we will be taking a high school placement exam." The assistant principal headed Ms. Ono an orange folder with all the exams. "I wish you all the best of luck." Then, the assistant principal left the room. Ms. Ono started to pass out the exams. 

3 Hours Later

 I put my head down on my desk and looked Aki's. "I can't believe we only have one week left here." I sighed. 

Sachie turned around and looked at me. "I told you that we should've told Akihiro." 

 I lifted my head up. "He wants all of us to be happy and he's already sacrificed so much. I don't want to burden him with this. Besides, he doesn't even go to school here." 

"Yeah, but we're his friends. Shouldn't he care about us?" She looked at me sadly and tilted her head. 

"He does, I know, he does." I looked down. "But I don't want him to suffer more." I clenched my hand. 

"It's your decision." Sachie smiled. "Come on, let's go to the gym." 

At the Gymnasium

Sachie and I sat on the bleachers while Junto sat next to us in his wheelchair. 

"Junto, I'm really sorry, this happened to you." I looked at him. "It's my fault you can't play basketball this week." 

He smiled. "It's not your fault. Besides, I wanted to do it, I saw you in danger and I knew what I had to do." 

I was speechless. "But, you shouldn't be risking your life to save me." 

"Junto?" 

He turned his wheelchair around and saw Akane depressed. "What's up?" 

"I just wanted to see if you were okay." She smiled slightly. 

"Yeah, the surgery was successful." 

She tried to avoid eye contact. "We only have one more week left, so I just wanted to talk to you one more time." 

Junto smiled. "Of course. We're friends, aren't we?" 

Akane looked at him and smiled. "Yep, still friends." She walked away happily. 

Then, Sachie walked up to Junto. "Can we talk?" 

Junto tilted his head. 

Outside of the Gymnasium

"What did you want to talk about?" Junto put his arms on the wheelchair's arms. 

"I've been thinking... we should break up." Sachie played with my fingers. 

He tilted his head. "Why? All of a sudden?" 

She took a deep breath. "The way how you ran after Takami and saved Takami from a car crash. Choosing the kimono that Takami liked. I've realized that you only see her in your eyes. I can't compete against her if she's the only one you see." 

"Sachie, why are you thinking like that?" He rolled his wheelchair closer to her. 

Her eyes started to be filled with tears. "It's not a thought... it's the reality." She turned around and walked away. She let my tears out and saw me in front of her. 

"You okay?" I smiled. 

She wiped away her tears. "Yeah, it's for the best. It wouldn't have worked out anyways."She smiled. 

"You should've thought positive. If you kept on dating him, he would've eventually fallen in love with you." 

"I doubt it... Come on, let's get ready for the Cherry Blossom Festival." 

At the KITTE Mall

Sachie and I walked into a kimono store and looked around. 

"Oh my god, isn't this kimono pretty?" Sachie pulled it out of the rack. "And it has cherry blossoms on it." 

I grabbed onto the kimono's fabric. "Yeah, it's pretty and good quality." 

"I'm gonna go try it on." Sachie headed into the fitting room. 

I walked to the couch in front of the fitting room and took out my phone. Photos of Aki and I showed up and my heart ached. Immediately, I put my phone away to avoid this feeling. "I have to forget about you." 

Suddenly, Sachie came out of the fitting room. "Sooo.... what do you think?" 

"It's really pretty, you should get it." I smiled. 

She smiled as well and went back into the fitting room to take it off. 

"I'm glad that the breakup didn't phase you." 

Sachie came out of the fitting room with the kimono in her hand. "I wouldn't let this phase me. I'll have a lot of breakups in the future." She headed toward the counter. 

"I'll meet you outside." I walked out of the store and almost tripped until an arm caught me by the waist. I heavily breathed and looked down at the white marble floor with a pair of sneakers. Immediately, I jumped off of him and bowed down. "I'm so sorry!" 

Everyone in the mall looked at us weirdly. 

"Um..." He awkwardly giggled. "Don't worry about it. I'm just glad I caught you." He smiled. 

I looked up at him for a while. "Wow..." He was a little bit taller than me.  

"Hey, don't you go to Hakata Seisho High School?" One of his friends pointed out. 

"Um... yeah, but it's closing down soon." I gulped and looked to the side. "One week left at Hakata Seisho." 

"So where you gonna go to school?" Another one of his friends asked. 

"We took a placement test today, so we're gonna be transferred next week." 

"Let's hope you get into Fukuoka High School." The guy smiled at me. "It'll be really nice if I got to know you a bit more." 

My heart started to beat fast for a second. "That was my first choice." 

"Good luck." The guy walked past me and his friends followed. 

I turned back around and watched them walk away. "I didn't even get your name."

Author's Storytime:

Hey, guys! The worst feeling in the world is when you ACCIDENTLY DELETE A CHAPTER! I was finished with Chapter 31 and started on Chapter 32. However, I decided to go back to Chapter 31 and click some random buttons that deleted the chapter. It didn't even give me confirmation if I wanted to delete it. I was soo scared that when I tried to rewrite the chapter, I forgot everything that happened in it! Eventually, I remembered but thank god!
