Chapter 19: Amusement Park Pt. 1

- Takami's POV -

"You guys wanna go to the amusement park that just opened recently? I got the tickets." I showed off five tickets.

Sachie grabbed one of the tickets. "I'm free on Saturday, you?" She looked at Aki.

"Sure, why not? I'll just cancel my plans." Aki pulled out his phone.

"Wait, if you have plans on Sunday, you should go to them." I took his phone away from him.

"But I would rather spend more time with you." Aki looked at me and smiled.

My heart started to skip a beat. "Um... thanks." I tried to avoid eye contact and gave back his phone.

"You guys are acting lovey-dovey even though Takami is dating Junto." Sachie put her head in her hand.

"It's only to prove that I don't like him... And we're not acting lovey-dovey." I pouted.

"Sure, you're not..."

On Saturday: 10:20 AM

At Home

"Hey, sweetie, can you check if the package I ordered came yet?" My mom sat in the kitchen scrolling on her phone.

I took out my phone and checked the arrival time. "Hm? Looks like it's coming at 10:20." I walked out of the house and looked for the package. "I don't see it?" Suddenly, a package flew at me and I fell down on the floor.

"Oh my god, Takami." Junto ran over to me from the outside.

"Ow!" I cried.

Kenta witnessed everything on the stairs and smiled happily. "Yeah... seems right." He walked down and went to the kitchen.

I put the package inside of our house. "Guess I'm going now?" I headed out with Junto.

At the Train Station

"I guess we're early?" I looked around but couldn't see them.

"Too bad." Junto evilly giggled.

"Oh wait, never mind. I see them." I walked over to Haru, Aki, and Sachie.

"Great..." He followed.

"Why you guys so late?" Sachie asked while holding the straps on her bag.

"No, we aren't." I took out my phone. "It's only 10:45."

"Yeah, I know, but I hate waiting." Sachie pouted.

"You should probably learn how to be more patient." Haru crossed his arms.

"But like why do I have to wait for someone who can't even have time management." Sachie copied Haru and crossed her arms.

"Well... we did arrive early, so isn't this your fault?" Haru smirked.

Sachie pouted again. "Whatever... You know when the train is coming?"

I took out my phone. "The train should be here any minute now. Ah, there it is."

Train Comes

We all got on the train to find a place to sit but there were none.

"I can't wait to take a bunch of pictures at the amusement park." Sachie squealed.

"Yep, I can't wait either." Junto put his arm around me.

I looked at Junto's arm for a second and then Aki. Aki looked at his phone sadly. Why is always looking at his phone? My heart started to ache.

Haru pulled up a picture of the amusement park on his phone. "Damn, their Ferris Wheel is really big." 

Sachie looked at Haru's phone. "Wow, pretty." 

Aki put his phone away and acted like nothing happened. "You think there's gonna be a huge line?"

In Front of the Amusement Park

"There's a really big line," Sachie said, as all our faces went blank. 

"I mean as long as we have tickets, we can go to the faster lines." I took out our tickets and we walked over to the faster lines. 

"Uh! I hate waiting in line!" Sachie yelled. 

Junto sweat-dropped. "But we've only been waiting for a minute." 

"Still, it's taking too long." She pouted. 

I looked over at Haru and Aki and they were looking at Haru's phone. "What you guys doing?" I asked. 

"We're trying to figure out a way to beat our rivals at the next basketball game." Aki continued to look at the screen. 

"You guys aren't gonna watch them play the whole time we're here, are you?" I asked. 

"Of course not, we came here to hang out. Besides, we're only waiting in line now," Haru said. 

I looked over at Junto. "You're not gonna watch with them?" I asked him. 

"Nah, I can just do it at home." He smiled at me. 

"Oh, Junto!" 

I turned around and saw Akane running toward us. "Hey, Akane." 

She didn't make any eye-contact with me. "What are you doing here, Junto?" She tilted her head and smiled gently. 

"Well, Takami got us tickets." He put his arm around my neck. 

"Oh my god, is that Akane Saito!" A stranger, who was in the line, yelled. 

Akane rolled her eyes and turned around with a smile. "Yes, it is! Who wants an autograph?" Everyone started to surround her. 

I blinked twice. "Wow, she really is fake." 

"Yeah, I don't know what I saw in her." Sachie jumped in. 

"Hey, Takami. Wanna ride the Ferris Wheel together?" Junto asked. 

I giggled. "Of course, aren't we all?" I noticed the line move up and so did I. 

Sachie shook her head. "Is she that dense?" 

Junto smiled. "But that's what makes her so cute." He walked closer to me. 

"Don't worry, you'll get there one day." Haru put his hand on Sachie's shoulder. 

"I hope so."
