Gee woke up early in the morning on Friday, disorientated and sleepy. They sat up, pulling the duvet up with them to keep out the cold.

They checked their phone, noting the 05:15 as a time they really did not want to be experiencing. There was a missed call from Frank, a minute or so ago. Was this really why they had woken up? Their phone was on silent so did they have some sort of sixth sense regarding their boyfriend?

They called back. Frank texted far more than he called, and didn't usually do either before eight.

"Frank?"
"Gee," Frank whispered back, excitement heavy in his tone.
"Why did you ring so early?"
"Look outside."
"Frank its five in the morning."
"Look outside," He repeated.
"Fine," Gee grumbled, and, pulling the duvet up around them like a cloak, opened the curtain a crack.

It took their eyes a moment to adjust from the dark room to the white outside.
"Its snowing?" They asked, incredulous
"Yes!" They could hear the smile in Franks voice.
"Frank its too early to go out into the snow."
"Fine. Skip school with me?"
"Rebel child."
"Mmm hmm. Ya like bad boys?"
"I'm going to hang up now."
"Meet me in the park at nine?"
"Sure."

Gee was there first, and looked up when Frank walked in, snow forming a halo in his hair.

"Hey," They pulled him in by the waist.
"Nope. Snowman first. Kisses later."
"But..." Gee whined.
"Snowman!"

Gee took a step closer, until their lips were hovering just above Franks and they were breathing the same air. Until they were close enough that it physically hurt that they weren't kissing.
"Please,"
"This is emotional manipulation."

Gee pulled his hands out of his pockets and put his frozen fingertips on Franks neck, just below the edge of the hoodie where the skin was still warm.
"Stop it," Frank complained.
"Kisses?"
"Snowman."
"Snowperson?"
"So we're agreed?"
Gee rolled their eyes. "Fine."
"Good." Frank pushed up onto his toes and kissed them, chaste, then, not letting Gee react, bent down to collect snow.
Gee sighed.

Brendon texted about an hour later.

Bren: Frerard skipping?
Gee: educational snowman building
Bren: uh huh
Gee: wbu and Ry?
Bren: just left. Wanna come over to mine for hot chocolate?
Gee: absolutely.
Gee: Frank agrees. Be there in ten.

They arrive, and Brendons house is so warm and smelt like chocolate and Gee finally stopped shivering.

Ryan was back in Brendons lap, despite the fact he'd only really been dating him for like a month, they had quickly shifted back into their casual, affectionate ways

"So," He began. "My dad finally talked to me about being gay and Brendon."
Brendon pulled a face. "How'd it go?"
"A'ight. Better than expected but not excellent."
"When did he find out?" Frank asked.
"Brendon introduced himself as my boyfriend at the hospital as my boyfriend."
"Umm, no," Brendon complained. "Adrian did."
"Adrian outed me?"
"Yeah,"
"Damn. Ok."
"Anyway what did he say?" Gee inquired.
"He wants to 'cure' me, but hes not mad and he actually likes Brendon."
"That's contrasting."
"Exactly. So we're starting to go to church, and no pda around dad, but other than that I'm fine."
"Wow." Gee said, slowly. "My dad would ht me."

They all went silent. If they had said 'kill', they might have laughed, but 'hit' felt too real. Far too real.

"Im sorry," Frank said, his lip between his teeth.
"Hey," Gee tilted his face towards them.
"You haven't done shit. This isn't your fault, any of it. You're the best thing that's happened to me. And even if you are my downfall, or whatever, I don't care. You're worth it."
"I..."
"You're worth it."
