Chapter 6 (42) - Countdown To The End

Suddenly, a trap door opened in the floor and out poke the heads of the two heads of the Northwest and a butler.

"Pacifica Elise Northwest, stop this instant! We can't let the town see us like this! We have a reputation to uphold! Now come into the panic room!" Peston ordered. "There's enough mini sandwiches and oxygen to last you, me and the butler for a week." then Peston said softly. "We'll eat the butler."

"Pacifica! Don't listen to him! Pull the lever!" you shouted.

Pacifica's hand raised to the lever, ready to pull it.

"You dare disobey us?" Peston said and rang a bell.

Pacifica froze, she can't make her decision. You ran towards the trap door, but your legs didn't move, you looked down and saw your legs starting to turn into wood. "Pacifica!"

"Is this thing broken?" Peston said as he continued to ring the bell but Pacifica still hasn't act as he wanted.

"Your family name is broken! And I'm going to fix it!" with that said Pacifica pulled the lever and the gates opened.

The ghost gasped as he saw the townsfolk rush in. The spell stopped you from turning into a wooden statue, and you let out a breath you did know you hold.

"Yes! Yes! It's happening! My heart once like oak, now grow soft like bird short something." the ghost cheered and tried to make a rhyme from what you can hear. Everything turned back to normal.

You stood next to Pacifica with a smile, and patted her on the shoulders.

"Pacifica, you are not like the other Northwests. I feel lumber justice..." the ghost said as he faded away, leaving the axe in his head on the ground.

You watched as Peston runs around the place making a fuss of the townspeople messing up his stuff, you got a good laugh at that.

"Hey, Pacifica," you said, making Pacifica look at you. "You did great, nothing only did you not listen to your parents but you changed, for the better."

"Thanks (Y/N), oh and also. I won't let anyone know about you." Pacifica gave you a smile and hugged you.

"Thank you." you said returning the hug. "Oh and also, I sensed you taking a peak of me that night when I came to the manor."

"You did?!? Wow, you're good."Pacifica laughed nervously.

"Hey, I did tell your parents to not let anyone else know of me, but you're fine Pacifica." you said with a smirk.

"Pacifica! You did it! Wow... Am I interrupting something?" Dipper asked awarkly.

Pacifica and you looked at each other then said, "Nah, we're done."

"Man! If your family hates you for this, they're idiots! This is great!" Dipper said gesturing to the ballroom.

Pacifica crossed your arms and said, "Enjoy it while it last. Next year I'm sure they're just gonna lock everyone out again."

You rolled your eyes and noticed what was under your shoes, you got Dipper's attention and pointed at the floor.

"Hey, guess what we're standing on." Dipper said.

Pacifica looked down and gasped, moving her muddy shoes even more, her shocked face turned to a smirk and started laughing and jumping on the carpet. Pacifica even threw a punch on the carpet.

"But seriously, I better go find someone to clean this up." Pacifica said and left the two of you.

"Nice going there lover boy." you smirked at Dipper.
