"Ow." Deathbringer said painfully as Glory dragged him by the ear down the hallway. "Ow. Owowowowowowowowowowowowowowow- OW!"
"Shut up." Glory declared. "You left the school."
"Yesss?" Deathbringer tried to smile, fearing for his life.
"I gave you an order."
"In my defense, it seemed like a dumb order."
"It was an ORDER." Glory shot back. "And you disobeyed me."
"What, like you've never disobeyed me before?" He questioned. "I can name at LEAST three times you have, so let's just call it even."
"No." Glory declared. "You're on probation."
"What does that mean?" Deathbringer asked warily.
"It means that the next time you mess up, I'm sending you back to the Rainforest alone, and you can explain to Joy how badly you failed your own job."
"Oh, like Joy is so scary."
"She can be if I ask her to be." Glory warned. "And as for me, you're skating on paper thin ice, mister." She stormed away.
".....So no kiss?" Deathbringer asked.
"Screw you!" Glory called back. Deathbringer grinned.
"Love you too, honey."

"Hi," Wren grinned, popping up next to Raven.
"Hey," He grinned back. "What's up?"
"Nothin much...." Wren offered. "But I was thinking."
"Okaaay,"
"And it's nearly summer already."
"Which is ridiculous, but yeah."
"And well," Wren sighed. "I don't really feel like having to tiptoe around the rainforest with you again." Raven tilted his head.
"What do you mean?" Wren fiddled with his talons.
"I was thinking of maybe telling my parents about us and everything?" Raven's eyes lit up.
"That's great!"
"Yeah?"
"Yeah!"
"Great! Now.... How do I do that?" Raven thought for a moment.
"Well, you could go for the obvious." He suggested. "Just walk into the room and shout I'm here, I'm queer." Wren snorted.
"No thanks."
"What about 'Hey, have you heard the news? I'm into dudes!'"
"Raven, no!"
"Hello, me again. I like men."
"You have too many of these."
"I know." They burst out laughing.

"So, Prism," Cyan asked casually. "Any plans for the summer?"
"Nope!" Prism declared, touching up a painting that she and Cyan had been collaborating on. It was nearly finished, and she hoped Starflight would let them hang it up somewhere in the school for next year. "Just painting. I'll probably go visit my Aunt Hope again, or Peril. I haven't seen her in a while."
"Well, if you ever feel like it," Cyan offered. "You could always stop by the bay of a Thousand Scales and visit me." Prism grinned.
"I just might take you up on that." He smiled.
"Good." Prism didn't understand why her whole family and friends kept telling her to stay away from Cyan. He seemed perfectly sweet, and he was always kind to her. Hell, Teal was more bitter then Cyan, and yet no one was calling him out for being evil. Cyan was just misunderstood, she believed. Maybe she could find a way to get her family to see that over the summer, so that they'd accept him into the friend group for next year.
"Are you coming back to JMA next year?" She asked.
"That depends," He admitted. "Are you?"
"Yep!" Prism smiled.
"Then I'll be here,"
"Great! Then we'll have to collaborate on another painting for next year."
"Definitely. We could try and do a combination painting. My view of the ocean with your view of the rainforest."
"That would be AWESOME!"
"I thought so." Cyan dropped his paint brush suddenly. "Whoops,"
"I got it." Prism grabbed the paint brush, and she thought she heard Cyan mutter something. "What?"
"I didn't say anything," Cyan shrugged.
"Oh, my bad." Prism frowned as she handed the paint brush back, shaking her head. It felt like something fuzzy was crawling at her brain.
"You okay?" Cyan asked innocently.
"Yeah," She offered. But for some reason, the back of her brain kept chanting evil, evil, evil.
As if something was trying to warn her.
