—I was supposed to sing happy birthday to you last night but we both passed out -I pout- happy birthday, love -I pull her tightly into a hug-

—Thank, Chris -she sheepishly giggles, burying her face on my neck-

—I wish we both could have a day off so I could take you somewhere else, I'm sorry -I say. I honestly did wanted to take her somewhere else, but I only said that to play it along, I don't want her to suspect about anything-

—Babe, it's okay, I told you all I wanted was to come home to you and watch movies or something, I'm happy with it

—Can we at least stay in bed 10 more minutes?

—Please do, I love your cuddles

I was falling asleep again when Gabriela's voice shakes me up

—Chris, are you sleepy? It's time to wake up, we're gonna be late if we don't

—All I want is to spend the whole day sleeping with you, I'm tired -I scoffed-

—You wouldn't be if last night plans stick to the originals -she laughs while leaving the bed, pulling my arm a couple of times- let's go, you're gonna be late

—Alright, birthday girl -I tease her-

—Are you gonna call me that the whole day?

—Hell yeah, I will

Gabriela's phone buzzed getting our attention

—Guess you're gonna be famous today -I joke and she rolls her eyes, giggling too-

—I don't like receiving congratulations from people who never talk to me, isn't that weird? -she frowns her face tilting it to a side-

—Oh god, you're cute -I grab her cheeks squeezing them- I'm gonna take a quick shower. And yes, that's weird, you're weird

—You love me like this -she shouts as I was leaving to the bathroom-

—Hell yeah, I do

As I went to the bathroom, I unlock my phone to communicate with Sara

"Morning Sara, hope you're doing good. I wanted to check on you, Gabriela already woke up and I said that I was going to be busy, she still thinks I'm sticking to the plan of watching movies with her"

"Morning, Chris. We're gonna write her in a couple of hours saying that we don't have electricity and since it's a common thing back in Venezuela, she'll believe us. That way she won't bug us with the FaceTime thing"

"Sounds perfect then! I'll let you know everything as soon as I can"

"And thank you, again"

"You're thanking us? Thank you, Chris. You're the one who brought us back together again"

I smiled down at the messages and went straight to the shower, I was thinking about what my sister-in-law said about the electricity, is it that common not to have it from time to time? But I brushed it off as soon as I heard Gabriela coming into the bathroom, thank God my phone was already locked so she couldn't peek at anything

—I'm just gonna inform you that this is going to be a quick shower, no other plans. Alright? -she goofily laughs as she hops into the shower-

—I wasn't intending to -I laugh- Gabbie, what if I pick you up from work today?

—But my shift ends earlier than yours always

—I know but I can make an exception, the people will understand
