Chris' P.O.V.

—Does she knows we're here already? -Scott eagerly asks for the fifth time-

—Again -I sigh- no, she expects you all to arrive next weekend.

—I can't wait to meet Elle -Carly excitedly squeals- I can't wait to see Aurora's reaction when she meets her little cousin

I look through the rearview to catch a glimpse of my gorgeous niece.

—I just can't believe Aurora is so big now -I say out loud- I don't want to be an absent uncle, I feel like if I keep missing her growing, next time I'll have to meet her partner -I joke-

—Oh, tell me about it. I see her daily and still think she's growing way too fast -Carly goofily rolls her eyes-

—Meanwhile, I'm Aurora's favourite. I need to brag about that – and I'm sure I'll be Elle's favourite as well -Shanna confidently says-

—You're just lucky I can't see Aurora as much as you can, otherwise, she wouldn't even know your name -I tease my sister-

The drive home has been infinite. I might've lied to Gabbie telling her I had to work today, but it's for a good cause. I'm sure she'll be so happy. After minutes of hearing stories about Aurora, we finally made it home.

I open the door silently, looking around for my girls, none of them at sight.

—Mi amor -I called out loudly-

—Wow, look at him, all hispanic now -Shanna lowly teases while we try not to chuckle-

—Babe! Gabbie! -I shout again-

Seconds later we're able to see her coming from upstairs

—I thought you were at... -she says looking down, once she lifts her face and meets my siblings, she squeals out loud, interrupting herself- WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!

She nervously fights back and forth, not deciding where to go. The sight of her being all hyped up over my siblings made my heart melt.

—Sorry, sorry! I want to jump into your arms and snatch Aurora from you but Elle's awake at the bed! Chris, come get her!

I waste no time in going upstairs, once I'm beside her, Gabriela almost runs downstairs. I go see my daughter, feeling like I'm missing her the most today, once I connect with her curious blue eyes, my smile widens. I bend down to hold her.

—Hi, little princess. Daddy missed you so much today -I grab her cute little hand- you're going to meet my sisters and brother... You're also meeting your dearest cousin, Rorie.

My daughter cooes and looks at me, maybe thinking « what's wrong with this man? ». Scott snaps me out of my trance, calling out my name and I quickly remember there are persons who want to meet her downstairs. As I start walking, I see my girlfriend already holding my niece.

—Oh my god, oh my god!! -Carly's eyes start to tear up-

They all walk to me, looking at Elle with love eyes. I look up to them, the three of them crying and it makes my eyes tear as well.

—Isn't she gorgeous? -I ask-

—She's perfect -Carly says- congratulations, you two. And thank you for making me an aunt -she wholeheartedly says-

—Can I hold her? -Scott sheepishly asks-

—Sure -I say, still warmed by seeing my siblings meet my daughter-

—Chris can't get enough of her -Gabbie says, looking at the Evans admire our girl- neither can I. Now I'm able to understand what you felt when you first held Aurora.

—Magical... It, it truly is magical. -Carly says, still looking at Elle- Look, cutie, this is your cousin -she's now looking at her daughter-

Gabbie walks Aurora close to Elle – the girl curiously looks at the baby and gasps, causing us to chuckle a little. Her tiny hands fly to Elle's face, gently touching it.

—I'm pretty sure you two are gonna be best friends -Gabbie says to Rorie-

—So am I -Scott says- I can picture them playing together all day long during family trips. -his eyes begin to water again- geez, I'm so touched right now... Thank you for making me an uncle, it truly is the greatest thing that's ever happened to me -he says to Carly and I, also squeezing Gabbie's hand-

—Oh, no problem. I can also see Gabbie and I leaving our daughters with you so we can go get our nails done or something -she jokes, making us giggle-

—Agreed.

After one or two hours, they finally settle in. We're sitting down on the living room just catching up on our last months – and also, eating some junk snacks.

—How motherhood has been for you? -Shanna curiously asks my girlfriend as she breastfeeds our daughter. She sighs before giving an answer-

—Not gonna lie, it's harder than I thought. Sometimes, I get so stressed over the littlest things and end up having breakdowns -she briefly looks at me before redirecting her eyes to Shanna- plus, having Chris out most of the time isn't the greatest... But when it's 10PM and I'm laying down in bed with both of them, I know it's all worth it – I see her face and I know for sure this is what I was born to.

—Totally -Carly says- I can't believe how I thought I was living before having Aurora... I feel like the day she was born, I reborn.

—You're making me want to go outside and get pregnant by the first man that crosses my path -Shanna jokingly says-

—Please say sike -Scott annoys her-

—What if you ask Lisa and Robert to come over tonight? We could have dinner her and just, talk about life, for the good ol' times -Gabbie says to me and I nod-

—Great idea -I go get my phone-

—Hey, what about Shawn? -Gabbie asks my brother as I type my mom a message-

—Sadly, he couldn't come, had to work. But we're great, I'm actually thankful I'm in a relationship like ours.

—Ahh!! That's so exciting! Tell him I said hi when you talk to him -she politely says-

—Will do, woman. What about you two, all good?

I frown my eyebrows amusingly. What kind of question is that, Scott?

—We're good -Gabbie giggles- sometimes I want to kill him, but still, I love him.

—Hormones -I roll my eyes and she playfully hits my arm-

—Stop blaming it on the hormones! -she teases- on a real note, we barely fight, when we have a disagreement we just talk it through, that's what we promised each other. You're stuck with me, pal -she winks at me, causing me to laugh-

—Horrific -I say chuckling and lean in to plant a kiss on the top of her head- I love you.

She smiles at me and then, back at our daughter.

—So cheesy. I love it! -Shanna giggles-
