—Gabbie, wake up, you won't believe what's happening -Chris shakes me while I'm trying to ignore him, in order to get more sleep, but of course, it's Chris who we're talking about- Gabrieeeela -he mumbles-
I open my eyes, annoyed at his behaviour. I'm tired, I feel tired and I want to sleep at least two hours more
—What? What is it, Christopher? -I spit harshly but he completely ignores my tone-
—We'll be flying to Washington for a wedding!!! -he wiggles, excited, I frown my eyebrows not understanding who is getting married-
—Elaborate. Shanna, Carly, Scott...?
—Scott and Shawn are getting married! He just texted me letting me know, surprisingly, Scott doesn't want anything over the top, the wedding will be very private, close friends & family only!
—Scott? Our Scott doesn't want anything over the top? -I raise my eyebrows amusingly- now that's a surprise -I giggle- I'm happy for them
—So am I -he says smilingly- what if we go out for breakfast as celebration?
—Ow Chris, I want to sleep more -I pout, closing my eyes again, spooning into him-
—Come on, baby -he mumbles in my ear- we haven't done that in a while
—Because we sleep -I say with a sleepy voice-
—But you can sleep in the evening, we can take a nap together, I promise, I don't have anything to do today plus you're off work -he begs and even though he hasn't insisted that much I already gave in- why are you off work today, by the way?
—There's this new girl, Valerie, I guess she's filling my spots -I say- I'm tired -I whimper-
—You were the one horny last night, it's not my fault you're tired -Chris chuckles and I open my eyes, gasping-
—It's not like you didn't wanted! -I stick my tongue out-
—I'm a sucker for you.
The morning was nice, surprisingly, my morning sickness was absent today but it's like we switched places since Christopher was craving almost everything, he even mentioned he was feeling dizzy, that's the reason why I drove us there and back, the situation was amusing, I've never heard of a father feeling the morning sickness before -or it could just be a coincidence- we had breakfast at a local restaurant, it wasn't too big nor known but it has this familiar feeling attached to it and it's mainly the reason why Chris and I have kept coming back—there was a small detail that caught my eye at the restaurant, there was a yellow flower on the centre of our table. After that and for the first time in what felt like years, Chris and I were able to go to Target together to get some stuff we need already, mainly, we go separate ways because our schedules aren't synchronised, but today was different and it made us feel more like a family, like the family we're turning into.
—Look, this is what I'm getting you for your birthday -I show him a Goofy shirt that has the Disney logo on it as well-
—Ha, ha. What are you implying? -he raises his eyebrow trying to contain the laughter-
—You two are like, the same character. Goofy and goofiest -I say chuckling-
We are still wandering through Target's halls and Chris today is such in a good mood, like he genuinely is happy. I put the kid's shirt back still chuckling, and that's when his laugh joins mine
—You're goofy as well -he says-
—Me? -I overact, placing my hand on my chest- I'm not goofy, I'm a serious person
