Akshadh's POV

I'm not the type to gaze into a girl's eyes with feelings, nor do I stay in someone's flat, even if begged. What's happening to me? I thought, tossing and turning in bed. Dhiya's image flashed before me, and I couldn't sleep. I got up and sat on the nearby couch, my eyes fixed on her photo on the wall. She looked stunning in that saree, her eyes captivating, nose sharp, and lips perfect. She deserved the title of Miss India. I couldn't help but notice her for the first time.

I spotted a diary on the table but resisted the temptation to read it. Instead, I checked my phone - 2 a.m. I'm usually asleep by now, but Dhiya had me scrolling through news feeds and responding to important mails and messages. I even opened Facebook, which I rarely use and noticed the friend request from Dhiya. Her profile picture made me smile, and I scrolled down to learn more about her. She had few photos and some inspiring motivational quotes. She seemed like a good and decent girl. I accepted her request and logged out.

At 4 a.m., I couldn't sleep, so I got up and came out. I found Dhiya sleeping peacefully on the couch. When did she come here? She trusted me so much, despite knowing me for only two days.

I recalled her words: "If you're with me, I feel comfortable, Akshadh." I smiled, moving closer to her. Her hair was scattered across her face, and I longed to tuck it behind her ears. Gathering courage, I gently did so. She was naturally beautiful. I covered her with a nearby blanket, not wanting her to wake up and find me so close.

I stepped out onto the balcony, taking in the serene atmosphere - birds chirping, clouds hiding the moon, and a gentle breeze.

I heard Dhiya's voice: "Good morning, Akshadh." I turned to see her smiling.

"Good morning, Dhiya." She offered me green tea, and we sipped it together.

"Did you sleep well?" she asked, looking uncertain.

"It's okay, Dhiya. This is a new place, so I felt a bit uncomfortable sleeping," I replied.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Akshadh."

I asked her, noticing her tired eyes, "Why didn't you sleep well?"

She struggled to find words before saying, "I don't know, Akshadh."

I teased her, "Did you get scared of me, Dhiya? That's why you couldn't sleep properly, right?"

She laughed, "Scared? Me?? Never, boss!"

"Then, why?" I asked, sensing she was hiding something.

"Don't know, Akshadh," she replied, her eyes cast down. I'm sure she's concealing something from me.

"Okay! How did you trust me enough to let me into your house, Dhiya?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.

"Yes, Akshadh. I don't know what made me trust you so much," she said, looking at me with those captivating eyes.

Our gazes met again, and I quickly blinked, trying to break the spell.

Be smart, Akshadh! This girl's eyes are more dangerous than her.

Just then, my phone buzzed with a message from my informer about today's training schedule.

"Dhiya! Today's training schedule is at Mission Hospital, where Allen is admitted. Yesterday, you scolded me for going to St. Thomas Hospital without informing you, but today I'm telling you in advance," I said, eager to see her reaction.

"Really, Akshadh? Superb! Let's spend the day with Allen together," she exclaimed, jumping up with joy.

What a wonderful girl she is! She loves Allen as much as I love her. I thank God for bringing Dhiya into our lives.
