After a few more guesses and a five minute lockdown on Hyunsoo's phone, she decided that she had no choice but to find out the password from either Jungkook or Darcy directly. Why did they even change her password? What was the point?

The problem was, she had been avoiding both guys since she found out. Hyunsoo didn't want to have to face them just because she wanted to get into her own phone. She had no choice though, because yes, she could unlock her phone with her fingerprint, but she couldn't change the password without knowing it. Rather than going to Jungkook, Darcy seemed like a better option for now. Not only because he was her housemate and within reach, but Hyunsoo felt much more scared to face Jungkook than Darcy, especially after all the ignoring they had been doing towards each other. But, what if Darcy didn't know the password? Well, she would have to cross that obstacle once she got to it...

Without giving herself too much time to think, Hyunsoo went upstairs to Darcy's door and knocked at the speed of light, before panicking and whispering to herself, "What did I just do? I'm not ready to talk to him yet!"

Darcy came to open the door right away, revealing his nice silk pyjamas and an expression that told Hyunsoo clearly that he hadn't expected her at all. "Hyunsoo?"

"I need, uh, the p-password..." stuttered Hyunsoo, as Darcy gave her a raised eyebrow look. Damn it, she thought, why did she stutter?

"Password?"

"I need the password... for my phone." She was hoping he would understand from this, since she wasn't so keen on voicing out the actual incident of her invasion.

"Oh," he said.

This told Hyunsoo just about everything except what she needed to know. "So, could I come in please?"

He opened the door wide and Hyunsoo stepped in. The atmosphere between them was awkward to say the least. They were never good friends or anything, but they used to be civil with each other, at least Hyunsoo thought so.

"Listen," started Darcy. He had a guilty expression on his face now, which made his next sentence really predictable. "I want to apologise to you first. I'm sorry for everything, and I know we're in the wrong, just... just know that we hate this too."

That last bit made no sense to Hyunsoo. What did he mean? Instead of pressing him on, she decided to ask for her password again. She knew that she wasn't really ready to talk about the matter. She knew she would get frustrated and start crying. It was her personal problems and the family business getting involved with people she didn't want to involve it with.

Darcy definitely looked surprised when she asked for the password again. He was probably expecting them to have a long conversation about what happened. She hadn't even asked how they had guessed her password in the first place for them to be able to change it, but Darcy was answering that anyway. "It was too easy guessing your password. You should keep it a little more secure than that."

Well, she had to admit he was right. Hyunsoo sucked at remembering codes, so instead she preferred using simple stuff like 'ilikeart'. That had been her previous password... no wonder it was easy to guess for Jungkook.

"It's 'jkrulestheworld'," answered Darcy. Hyunsoo stared at him until he added, "Don't ask me why, it's all on him this one.

Without a reply, Hyunsoo quickly typed it in and changed it to her birthday. Not many people knew her birthdate so it shouldn't be too much of a problem this time. Then, Hyunsoo turned around to leave Darcy's room, but stopped and muttered a thanks instead. He did help her after all, even though it was her own phone and he shouldn't have gone through it in the first place and changed the password with Jungkook. She couldn't help the infection-like feeling in her head though, yelling to be polite no matter what. It was her mother's voice.

"Wait, Hyunsoo, before you leave can we sit down and talk a little? Please?" asked Darcy.

Hyunsoo had never seen him act like this before. He used to think of himself as the prince of this house, no, this university, but now seeing him pleading to talk gave her a sick feeling in the stomach. What could have happened to him and Jungkook for them to act so... out of character?

The curiosity was killing her, so of course she sat down and waited for him to start. The awkward tension hadn't disappeared at all, though that wasn't bothering Hyunsoo anymore. She kept herself calm and listened to what Darcy had to say.

"I've already told you in the past, that I don't normally associate myself with your kind of people, you know, the underground family business thing. Neither does Jungkook, I can assure you that," said Darcy.

"Oh yeah, his dad is a business man isn't he? So he wouldn't involve himself with the underground like that because of his dad?" asked Hyunsoo, remembering the time Jungkook opened up to her about his past a little bit.

Darcy didn't say anything. He paused after Hyunsoo spoke and looked at her, before continuing, "I won't say anything about that, because that's up to Jungkook to decide how much to tell you about himself."

Hyunsoo thought doubtfully, why did this little detail matter though? Was Hyunsoo missing some kind of puzzle piece in all this?

"My point was," said Darcy, "Jungkook and I didn't do anything intentionally. Everything that happened, yes it was our actions, but it was out of our control. Just let that sink in before you talk to Jungkook, whenever you finally do."

Darcy's last words were on replay in Hyunsoo's head for the whole night. It was hard to fall asleep when she knew she had to do something, but she didn't have the courage to face this problem. Every now and then, she would get up and check the time, calculating how much sleep she had left. Each time after, she would groan and throw herself back down. Once the sun was up and Hyunsoo checked the time again, she groaned and muttered to herself about hardly getting any sleep. It was the worst night she had in a long time.

Maybe it was the mood she was in that helped, but Hyunsoo picked up her phone and started searching through the contacts, looking for a name in particular starting with 'J'. Unfortunately, it turned out he had changed his name on her phone as well... to 'King K'. Hyunsoo found it ten minutes later, and by that time her bad mood was easing down.

Still, with a lot of force talking herself into this idea, Hyunsoo typed a text and hovered above send.

'We need to talk urgently. - Hyunsoo'

She looked at his name 'King K' on display and gave a weak smile. Maybe it won't be so bad. Maybe it will go better than she expects. Maybe, just maybe, he will have a good explanation and things will go back to normal. And then, she sent it.
