"You know how your hands glow a red-orange color?" I asked and he nodded. "And your hands produce heat?" He nodded again. "So your hands produce fire," I said and he his eyes widened. "What?" I asked.
"Nothing, just keep going," he said quietly, he sounded sad.
"Okay, well pretty much you can create it using your hands and throw it. I think it's pretty cool," I told him, smiling.
"Cool," he said and sat down at my bay window. He looked into the woods and at the sky. "The storm stopped, I should go back and change out of the rest of my wet clothes," he said. Was he okay? I got worried.
"Okay, do you want me to come with?" I asked, wondering why he was leaving while we had this whole situation going on.
"No," he said coldly.
"Okay, I'll see you later then?" I asked, hoping he would say yes.
"Sure," he said and left my room.
I waited a few seconds and followed him down the steps, and he went straight out the back door. He didn't talk to anyone.
"Where is he going?" Hobi asked.
"He said to your all's place," I said and shrugged my shoulders.
Hobi and RM looked at each other and at the same time, got up and took me outside through the back door. We started walking towards the woods in the direction of their home.
"What's going on? Where are we going?" I asked them.
"That's not where he is going," RM said.
"And he was sad and angry when he walked out," Hobi said.
"So, then where is he going? And what's wrong?" I asked them.
"There is only one place he will go when he feels that way," RM said.
"Where?" I asked, worried about what Yoongi was doing and getting himself into.
"Where his life was thrown off course," Hobi said.
"Which is where?!" I started raising my voice.
"His childhood home," Hobi said quietly.
I didn't ask anymore questions. I was too worried about what Yoongi was doing. He was excited to know about his power at first, but once I told him he just shut down.
Did he know he had that power before or something? Or was there something about fire that bothered him? What happened to him when he was a kid?
RM and Hobi took me through the woods to the Cypher House. We went around the back and there was a shed. Inside there was a black car that looked familiar.
"Get in," RM told me.
"Is this the car you stole?" I asked him.
"Yeah, I figured we would need it," he told me.
"Where is the dark blue one?" I asked.
"Suga took it," Hobi said worriedly.
We pulled out of the shed and drove down a path through the woods. When we got out of the woods and onto the road, RM floored it. We were going 80mph in a 35mph zone.
I was in the middle seat in the back of the car, and I was leaning towards the front, holding onto their seats.
"So where exactly is Yoo-- Suga's childhood home?" I asked, almost saying his real name.
Hobi jumped up when I started to say it and smiled. He looked back at me.
"It's a good distance, but if we would drive faster," he said looking at RM, "then it won't be long. Suga is probably already there," he said, and RM sped up the car, pushing 100mph.
I had never been in a car going this fast. It gave me some anxiety, but it was so exhilarating at the same time.
"Maybe now isn't the time, but I thought you all should know..." I started to tell them.
"What is it?" Hobi asked, RM was still focused on driving.
"Well, when I was outside in the storm, I passed out. And I don't know if it was a dream or not, but whatever it was, it let me see what was going on with us," I told them.
"Like with our 'powers'?" Hobi asked.
"Yeah, I saw that you had the power of empathy, the ability to feel what others are feeling," I told him.
"Okay, well I figured that was it since I was feeling so many feelings that weren't mine," he told me.
"Yeah, it's pretty cool isn't it?" I asked.
"Yeah, but now I seem to not be able to know my feelings," he told me.
"I think that will get easier," I told him, knowing that what I saw showed that he knew what he was feeling.
"How do you know?" He asked.
"I just do," I told him assuringly.
Because he told me.
I wonder if RM has discovered his power yet. If he has then I could tell him about it. Well if he has and he is listening then he knows what I'm about to do.
"R-," I started to say when he cut me off.
"Yeah, I know," he said.
Hobi looked at him confused.
Thank goodness, I can tell him. Can I just say it out loud?
"Go ahead," he told me.
"So your power is telepathy, being able to read people's minds. I personally think that suits you," I told him.
"Why does it suit me?" He asked me.
"Because you're smart and seem to be able to know what people are thinking anyways. Only people with high intelligence can have that power," I said, envious.
"Wait? So you can read our minds?" Hobi asked, he was still confused.
"Yeah, but I try not to listen. It invades your personal feelings and thoughts. I don't want to know what everyone is thinking," he said.
Oh! Don't tell anyone what I think sometimes about our powers and my dream or whatever it was. Please. Okay?
"Okay. We are here," he said, knowing what I was thinking and understanding.
The car halted to a stop and we were in front of a half-burned house.
