DIANARA's POV
I gaped at Yoana who's now smiling in front of me. Hindi ko mapagtanto kung ano ang nararamdaman ko, pinaghalong kaba at saya, para akong kinikiliti dahil hindi ako mapakali pero hindi ko rin gumawang ngumiti..
"Are you ready, Ara?" She asked but I couldn't respond. Bakit ganto?
"Am I getting married?" I finally managed to ask.
Ikakasal na ba ako?
"I don't know.." nakangiti niyang sabi tsaka binuksan ang malaking pintuan na nasa harap namin. My eyes widened when I saw who was in there.. in the middle of the huge hall, there stands that one and only Yuan Samaniego, smilibg widely as he look at me..
The anger, agony and loneliness that I felt vanished when I saw his smile. Para akong napako sa kinatatayuan ko habang nakatingin sa kanya..
Anong gagawin ko?
"Stay there, Dia." Yuan suddenly said as he look at me..
I didn't budge and stayed where I was standing. Nakatayo lang ako habang nakatingin sa kanya... and my eyes widened when I saw the next thing he did..
"Dianara Zhang, my Dia.. my love.. will you make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?" Nakangitinh tanong ni Yuan habang nakayuko. Agad kong natakpan ang bibig ko dahil doon. I covered my mouth as I let my tears scape fron my eyes..
He's asking me to marry him!
Pero.. pero diba si Leslie ang papakasalan niya? He's marrying a chinese, right? Bakit niya ako pakakasalan?
Then.. it hit me. I'm a Zhang, daughter of Rafael Zhang, a chinese and that makes me a chinese..
I'M A CHINESE!!!
"I'm chinese!" I whispered pero mukhang narinig iyon ni Yuan dahil natawa siya..
"Oh my god!! Yes!! Yes!! I'll marry you!!" Mabilis kong sabi at akmang tatakbo na papunta sa kanya ng hinawakan ako ni Yoana na ngayon ay nakangiting nakatingin na sa akin.
"You're getting married, Ara." She stated as a huge curtain fell on to the floor, covering the rest of the hall, making me not see Yuan anymore but wait..
Ikakasal na ako?
Seryoso ba to?!
"Congratulations, Ara." My eyes widened when I heard that very familiar voice..
Oh my!
"Papa!!" Agad akong napayakap kay papa ng makita ko siyang nakangiti habang nakatingin sa akin.
He's here!! Alam niya ba to?!
"Hi, anak. I'm so happy for you." Nakangiti niyang sabi tsaka niyakap ako pabalik.
"Ara!" I looked at mama when she called for me. She's here as well! Agad ko rin siyang niyakap na agad din niyang sinuklian.. and few moments later, nakita kong naglalakad papalapit sa amin si mommy, Daren at Jade.. they all have this wide smile on their faces making me smile as well.. they're here.. andito sila!
"I'm so happy for you, anak.." mas napaluha nalang ako dahil sa sinabi ni mommy sa akin.
"Oh my god.. you guys knew?" Naguguluhan kong tanong ng mahimasmasan na ako.
"Yes, Ara. Yuan came to me and asked for my blessing. And he didn't know that you're chinese!" Natatawang sabi ni papa habang naka-akbay kay mama..
"He did?"
"Yes, and he was so funny! I'm happy that you finally found the one, Ara." Mama said smiling. Napa-iyak nalang ako dahil doon. I looked at mommy who's now smiling proudly at me..
"He went to Canada to see me. He also asked for my blessing. I wish for you happiness, anak." Mommy smiled. Ilang sandali pa ay bumalik na si Yoana dala ang wedding veil then she went to me at isinuot iyon sa akin.
"I'm getting married!" I stated.. napangiti naman siya atsaka tumango sa akin.
"Goodluck, Ara." Sabi ni Yoana tsaka tumalikod na. Then, mommy and papa went to my side and as the music starts to play, they guided me towards the red carpet.
There, I saw him, the one and only, Yuan Samaniego, smiling while his tears are falling rapidly.
"And he's crying." Natatawang sabi ni papa na ngayon ay nasa tabi ko.
"He's happy." Nakangiting sabi ni mommy. I felt happiness because of that. I never thought that Yuan will do this. Akala ko talaga wala na.. akala ko si Leslie na talaga ang makakasama niya habang buhay.. akala ko mawawala na siya sa akin.
"Take care of my Ara, Yuan." Papa stated as he looked at Yuan who's know looking at me.
"Always, sir."
"Don't hurt her, okay? Make her the happiest woman alive." Mommy said as she gave Yuan a kiss in the cheek na agad namang dinaluhan ng huli.
This is it..
"Hey there, beautiful." Yuan playfully said as he guided me towards the altar.
"Walangya ka talaga!! Alam mo bang umiyak ako ng sobra-sobra dahil sa ginawa mo!! I was so scared and hurt!" Umiiyak kong sabi sa kanya..
"I'm sorry, my Dia. I wanted to make a surprise proposal to you. Kaso na mis-interpret mo and you thought that I'll marry Leslie, and you even forgot that you're chinese!" Natatawa niyang sabi bago ako hinawakan sa kamay at doon ginawaran ng halik.
"I love you so much, Yuan.."
"I love you most, my Dia."
"If anyone is against this marriage, you may rise on your seat." Wika ng pari na ngayon ay nangingiting naka-harap na sa amin.
Lumingon naman kami ni Yuan sa nga tao, my eyes darted on Yuan's mother who's now smiling while wiping her tears. Katabi niya ang daddy ni Yuan at ang mga tito at tita niya. I also saw the other Samaniego's on the other side of the hall, I saw Sia and Heidi wiping their tears as they embrace their husbands..
And that view made me smile. They're happy for me, for us. Masaya silang ikakasal na kami ni Yuan and that makes my heart really happy.
"Do you Yuan Samaniego take this woman whose hand you now hold, to be your true and wedded wife, and do you solemnly promise before God and these witnesses to love, cherish, honor and protect her; to forsake all other for her sake; to cleave unto her and her only, till death shall part you?"
"I do." Yuan smiled as he looked at me.. dahan dahan niya ring inilaagay ang singsing na magdudugtong sa amin habang buhay.
"Do you Dianara Zhang, take this man whose hand you now hold, to be your true and wedded husband, and do you solemnly promise before God and these witnesses to love, cherish, honor and protect him; to forsake all other for his sake; to cleave unto him. and him only, till death shall part you?"
"I do." I said after I mouthed I love you to him. Tapos ay inilagay ko na ang singsing namin. I saw genuine happiness in his eyes as he take off the veil covering my face..
"And by the power vested in me, I know pronounce you, husband and wife, congratulations, you may now kiss the bride." Wika ng pari and by that, Yuan embraced me and pulled me into a half hug...
"I love you, my Dia." He whispered as he kissed me full in the lips.
