Chapter 68: Bury A Friend

Training officially started with Aizawa making Izuku throw a baseball as far as possible with his Full Cowl, and from that moment on, it's non-stop.

Turns out, Koro-sensei was there with the Holy Quintet that was ready to train the Magi with their magic after they had properly trained their quirks first. Crystalline and Genie had tagged along, too.

When Class 1-B entered, they were impressed at all the training their fellow hero class is already doing, though Monoma refused to admit it.

They just stared at Izuku awkwardly, though, since even if he's using Full Cowl, he was still being flattened by Tiger in every move.

"Come on!", Vlad King suddenly addressed the newly entered class. "It's about time we join them!"

And so, the Quirk training goes on for a while longer after that with the additions. A good hour or two of them pushing themselves to their utmost limits and then some, just like they'd done at the start of the day.

"Alright", Aizawa approaches, and the students stop what they're doing to listen. "You Magi go to the Quintet. The rest of you, stand by, and if something goes wrong, try to intervene as fast as you can. Got that?"

"Yes, sir!", they all answered.

The UA Magi exchanged looks before approaching the Holy Quintet hand-in-hand.

"Okay, so", Madoka smiled nervously. "We've all been thinking, and we decided that we would help you befriend your witches before enhancing your magic, just like the Magi there at the Law of Cycles. How about it?"

"It's supposed to be instinctual when you're one of the saved", Mami shrugged. "But you can't have that, unfortunately. So, why not teach you?"

The teens blinked.

"It's an offer, not a demand", Sayaka sighed, exasperated. "You guys want it or not?"

Henri looked at Nagisa, before the two smiled at each other. "Well, it'll be nice to have your inner demons be nice to you for once."

Sayaka nodded dutifully.

Kyoko gave the other three a side glance. "And you guys?"

Ochako grinned excitedly. "I'm kind of excited to see what my witch will be like!"

Shouto scratched the back of his head. "I...I'm curious about my witch, so..."

Katsuki scoffed. "We're all ******* in, Achilla."

"Great!", Madoka clapped her hands together gleefully, before turning to Homura. "Take it away, babe!"

"Alright", Homura gave a hair flip, before walking over to the teens. "Todoroki and Bakugou, you're on standby. Hikari, Shiota and Uraraka, what did you feel when your soul gems got tainted aside from despair?"

Henri, Nagisa and Ochako blinked in confusion. Homura gave them a blank stare in response, prompting them to think it over.

"Well...", Ochako hummed. "I think it would be disappointment...and anger..."

Homura nodded at her, before turning to Henri. "And you?"

The brunette put a hand on his chest, before speaking in a soft tone. "Frustration, and...regret."

Homura nodded wordlessly, before turning to Nagisa. "And you?"

Nagisa bit his lip. He was silent for a while.
