Chapter 92
Gabrielle’s POV
A couple more days passed, and I was so happy when I woke up this morning after a slight freak out that I woke up to late, I remembered that today was the day I had a break from practice. I was excited because Bella and I had planned a shopping trip for today and it felt like so long since we’ve done that. It felt like it’s been so long since she hadn’t hated me or was angry with me.
Everything seemed to get better with everyone. I was talking with my dad more, talking and hanging out with Bella more, things were almost back to the way they used to me and if not better for me and my dad. I still had some small moments where I really missed Harry, but I was starting to get over those moments quickly.
I got out of bed and headed to my closet to find something to wear. I decided to dress up a bit more to go shopping today, so I settled on some jeans with a burgundy sweater. I added a scarf and a necklace with it, as well as a few bracelets.
After putting on some knee socks and a pair of boots, I grabbed my purse and headed downstairs. My dad took today off and he told me that once I got home from shopping with Bella that we could go out for dinner or something like that. I of course was excited about that so I was going to make sure that I was home by at least late dinnertime if not early.
I doubted that Bella and I were going to stay out that long anyway. I grabbed a quick breakfast when I headed downstairs since Bella was going to be here any minute.
My dad and I talked for a bit, but it was mostly him talking to me since I wanted to finish my cereal before Bella got here.
Just as I was getting up with put my now empty bowl in the sink, I heard the doorbell ring.
“Well I’ll see you later then,” my dad smiled and I said by to him before grabbing my purse and heading to the front door. I opened it to see Bella just like I had suspected. I yelled another bye to my dad before heading out the door and to the driveway where Bella’s car was.
“Ready to go shopping,” Bella said excitedly as we both got into the car.
“Definitely,” I answered, and then Bella started up the car and began to back out of the driveway.
“Do you want to go to the outlets or the mall?” Bella asked me as she began to drive out of the neighborhood.
“Let’s go to the outlets,” I answered.
The weather was pretty nice outside, not as cold as usual so I decided we should take advantage of it and shop outside today since it’s only going to get colder as the months come.
So Bella drove us to the outlets, it took a bit longer than it would’ve if we went to the mall since the outlets were a bit further out of town, but I didn’t mind. Bella turned on the radio, and she of course went on about some pieces of clothing that she wanted to get.
Everyday she seemed to have a whole new list of clothing items that she wanted.
As much as missed having Bella as my best friend, I certainly could not say that I missed her obsession with clothes, even if it did come in handy sometimes. Bella found a spot to park in the parking lot, and the two of us got out of the car. I usually didn’t buy anything when we went shopping, I just watched Bella try on endless amounts of clothes.
Today though I decided that I would try to be more like her as far as shopping goes. I had s good amount of money saved up and I decided to spend a bit of it today.
We walked through the entrance of the outlets, and Bella picked the first store to go into. Not even after a minute of being in the store and Bella already had a handful of clothes in her hand to try on, whereas I hadn’t even picked out one thing to get.
