It was now early hours of the morning, and Emelia had fallen asleep on my lap. She was completely out of it and even if fireworks were going off- she wouldn't be waking up. How much can one girl sleep?! We were on the sofa in the living room and I was letting my mind run wild. I wanted Emelia to be able to do everything on that list. And as soon as possible. We didn't have any time to spare. I decided that I could do #1, #2 and #3 all in one day. Today. I'd take her into town and go shopping, and then get on a clipper boat and ride down the River Thames. For our picnic, we could sit in Greenwich.

So the day was all planned and now all I needed to prepare was the food. It was a good job that I could cook!

Emelia had her arms wrapped around my waist, silently sleeping. I unravelled them and removed myself from the sofa, creeping into the kitchen. I felt rude going through her cupboards, but it was for a good cause. Of course I didn't know where anything was kept, so it was all trial and error. Eventually I got ham, cheese, bread, cornflakes, chocolate and fruit laid out on the table. I whipped up some ham and cheese sandwiches, chocolate cornflake cakes, and chocolate covered strawberries. It took everything I had not to eat them there and then. I am a foodie, I won't lie.

I think I got a bit carried away with the amount of chocolate strawberries I made. They filled up a whole fruit bowl, so there was no way we'd be going hungry! I looked at the clock and it was 2am. Right. If the day was going to be busy, I guessed I should get some sleep. I boxed everything up and hid it all in an empty cupboard. I wanted it to be a surprise.

When returning to the living room, I could hear snoring coming from Emelia. Rather loud snoring if I say so myself. I giggled quietly and tiredly, she was so adorable. I was tired and needed to sleep, and Emelia was on the sofa. I scooped her up in my arms and carried her gently up the stairs. I stripped back the bed covers and placed her down. She immediately snuggled into her pillow, which made me laugh once again. I got hold of the covers and tucked her in, accidentally waking her up.

''Jess?''

''Yes, Emelia?''

''What are you doing?''

''I'm just going to go to sleep, it's early and we should get some sleep.'' I edged towards the door, trying to tell her to go back to sleep.

''Where are you going?''

''Downstairs... to sleep.''

''Come sleep in here with me?''

Wait what.

''Come again?'' It was the first thing that came to mind.

Well that wasn't expected. I didn't quite know if I actually heard that right. Had I imagined it? Did she actually say that? I just spat out whatever words came. I didn't know what to say.

''Sleep here?''

''Um, err. Eh, what?'' I murmured, I was tired and confused, so my speech was pretty interesting.

''I said come and sleep in my bed, not the sofa.''

What do I say to that? Do I lay there with her? We were just friends and I didn't know what this meant. What was happening?! Um...

''Jess?'' I guess I was taking too long to answer.

Do I say yes? Do I say no? Yes, or no?

''No it's ok, I'll be downstairs if you need me. Goodnight, Emelia.''

''Oh, ok, goodnight.''

''Goodnight.''

I guess you could say I panicked?

A/N: I know this is short but I was on Skype with Rosie :)
