It was a couple of days later and Jess and I were about to tick something else off of my bucket list: Camping. I hadn't really been keen on camping before, and so I wanted to push myself out of my own comfort zone and just try it. You never know, you could surprise yourself.

I was currently sat in the car with Jess, she was fully equipped with the latest camping gear, whereas I was wearing old waterproof trousers, a big baggy jumper, a pink raincoat, and wellies. Well, I mustn't forget the slipper socks I was wearing underneath the bright red wellies. I had two pairs of socks and the thick pair of fluffy socks. I wasn't going to be cold through out the night!

I looked like a giant marshmallow, covered completely head to toe and layered up!

On the other hand, Jess had these stylish camping trousers, with these state of the ark walking boots. They looked like they had cost a bomb and that she had only bought them for this occasion. Her coat looked designer but she had assured me that it wasn't- I still think it was.

I left Jess to plan where our destination would be, and I was starting to regret that. I thought it would just be in a field somewhere, half an hour or so away from home. Well what can I say? I couldn't have been more wrong. Two hours into the journey and Jess was still driving. It was also getting darker. ''Jess, where are you taking us?'' I bit my lip, starting to worry.

''Just wait and see.'' Her eyes remained on the road, this was probably a good idea, considering a crash wasn't wanted.

''You're not planning to take me to the woods and murder me away from everyone else so no-one can hear my screams, are you?'' I asked, the words just running out of my mouth like a crowd of teenage girls racing for the barrier at a concert.

''Wait is it with you and thinking I'm going to kill you? Just relax, we're nearly there!'' She laughed, shaking her head at my remark.

She was right though, quarter of an hour later and we were wandering through the forestry, looking for a suitable place to set up camp. I kept my head down, focusing on the path in front of me, making sure I didn't trip over any branches. I could say the opposite for Jess.

She found the 'perfect' spot and started to jump up and down, getting overly excited over nothing. It was cute though, I guess. ''Emelia, look!'' She turned and faced me, before sprinting towards me. I was further behind, not wanting to get out of breath and then have to leave or anything. Jess held her arm out for me to take, but resulted in grabbing my hand and yanking me to our new camp site. She looked like a hyper little puppy, if she had a tail, it would be wagging.

Jess being Jess, she began to dance and didn't look where she was going. She hit the floor with a loud, harsh thud and my laughter began. ''Emelia, stop. That fucking hurt.'' She sat up and rolled her trouser leg up. ''THERE'S A GRAZE! Emelia, there's a graze!''

''Oh Jess, it's only a little bit red, I'm sure you'll survive.''

''What if it gets infected? I need antiseptic.'' She panicked, her face falling flat.

''It's not even an open wound. The best we can do is put your antibacterial on it, but that will sting. You'll have to be strong I'm afraid, soldier.''

''Me? Soldier?'' She adjusted her trousers and stood up, wiping her muddy hands on her bum. ''If anything, you're the soldier. You've fought very hard.''
