SAERON'S POV

I stood in front of the mirror and examined my outfit. The party had already started and here I was. Still in Jungkook's room.

I wanted to go. I didn't want to ruin this day for Jungkook. But I was afraid. Afraid to lose him. Afraid that after tonight, he will belong to someone else.

I straightened out my outfit and made my way to the party room. It was full of people who were all dancing and having a good time. My eyes immediately scanned the area for Jungkook but I couldn't find him.

Where was he?

I saw Jin and walked up to him. He smiled once he saw me.

"Hey Saeron! Fun party huh!"

"I guess."

"You want something to drink?"

"Yeah. I'll just have a coke. I'm kinda still under aged."

"Oh come on. What's with one little harmless drink?"

"What? Where did responsible Jin go?"

"It's a party. You have to have fun. It's actually just an excuse for me to let loose for once. I'm always so uptight and a good two shoes because that's how everyone knows me and because I care. But right now, no one will care if I get drunk and even dance on the tables. They're too in their own little bubbles. "he shrugged and handed me a drink.

I was hesitant but drank it all up in one gulp. It burned the back of my throat making me cough a little. It was also a little bitter.

"What was that?"

"Soju." he said and started drinking from the bottle.

I laughed a little at his actions. It was so unlike Jin. That's when his face turned red and he started choking on all the soju he gulped up all at once. He ended up spitting out a little and I turned around to see what got him like that.

That's when I saw Jungkook's father standing right behind me.

"Jin, could you give us a minute?" he asked and Jin scurried out, not forgetting to take the bottle with him.

"You having fun Saeron?"

I nodded gulping slightly. I've never really spoken with Jungkook's father before and he seemed really scary and intimidating.

"I haven't seen Jungkook yet though. Have you seen him?" I asked after a moment of silence. It was creepy the way he was just looking at me.

"Don't bother where he is. I need to talk to you."

"About what sir?"

"I want you to leave." he said bluntly.

"Excuse me?"

"I need you to leave. I don't know why Jungkook was interested in you. And I don't know about this little trist of yours with my son but I do know that it's time for it to end. He will meet his mate tonight. I'm sure you're aware of this."

I nodded looking at the ground.

"Good. Once he meets his mate, he'll forget all about you and his so called love for you. And where will that leave you? Let me tell you. You'll be all alone, wanting someone who no longer wants you and loves someone else."

I felt tears threatening to pool out of my eyes.

"I know what you're trying to tell yourself. That he will be different. That your love will be strong enough. That it will prevail. But it will not. You may be a werewolf but you have lived your entire life up until now as a human. You don't know anything of our customs or how things work. "

"But we love each other." I said and tears rolled down my cheeks. I couldn't stop them. Not even in front of him.

"I know you do. He loves you now. But come a few weeks, a few weeks with his true mate, he'll be in love with her and it'll be like you never existed. So just leave and save yourself the misery of having to witness that."

"But I promised him that I would never leave him."

"So you'll just wait for him to leave you? Is that it? Please. Don't be pathetic. You're better than that. Don't wait for him to leave you and break your heart. Just leave and save him the trouble."

He turned to the crowd.

"Look at them. A entire hall full of beautiful and strong women. One of them is his mate. And be honest, when you look at them, how do you feel?"

"I feel..."

"Louder."

"Like nothing! I feel like nothing! I feel weak." I said and felt my knees go weak.

"Exactly. Because that's what you are. Nothing. Nothing in this world of ours. Nothing here in our family. You belong somewhere far away from Jungkook and the rest of us."

I grabbed onto the counter to prevent myself from falling.

"Do the right thing Saeron. Leave. You're no longer welcome here." he said one last time and walked away.

Tears were now fully dreaming down my face rapidly. What was I doing? Why was I here? What was I enduring all this for? Is it really worth it?

"Don't you dare Saeron. You promised. You wouldn't leave. You promised him."

"Yeah but maybe his father is right. I was just a visitor here. A temporary visitor. I don't belong here. And I don't belong with Jungkook."

"Saeron." I heard Violet say in a warning voice.

"You're just going to hurt yourself by doing this. By doing this, you'll hurt the most."

I bit my bottom lip, making my decision. I took a deep breath.

"I love him. And that's why I have to do this. I'm sorry." I said to my wolf and shut her out completely.

I didn't know how to do that before but I suddenly could. I ran to Jungkook's room and started packing up all my clothes and things in plastic bags since I never brought a suitcase here.

I couldn't stop the tears that escaped my eyes as I packed. I merely wiped them away.

I typed Min Ji's number on my phone and called her.

"Saeron? It's been a while since we've talked."

"Min Ji." I sobbed.

"Oh my Saeron. What's wrong?" she asked, her voice mow filled with worry.

"I can't anymore. I need to leave. Please help me." I sobbed into the phone.

I wrote Jungkook a note and exited the house, making sure that no one saw me. I immediately rushed to Min Ji's house and she met me by the door.

I immediately crashed into her arms, sobbing.

She calmed me and took all my things inside.

"Everything is going to be okay Saeron. You're strong. You'll get through this." she said and rubbed soothing circles on my back.

"I can't Min Ji. I need to get out of here. I don't want to see him ever again. I can't." I sobbed.

"Then let's leave." she said making me look up at her.

"Let's go to America."
