"No. No, your mind is playing games."
"No, a small child was playing games until you broke it."
Nobody has spoken a single word since Clint got us back in the air. Bruce seems physically sick from what the Hulk has done to that African city. Sweat beading down his forehead, Bruce wraps himself in a ball against the jet wall, his gaze stuck on the floor. Steve's deep in thought, his brows furrowed as he watches us roll through the clouds. He seems like he's trying to hold himself together, much better then Thor currently is.
Licking my lips I blandly state "If you don't quit that incessant pacing Thor I'm gonna boot you out this jet myself."
"Addie", Natasha's small voice warns me from my other side. Biting my lip I turn to stare out the front of the jet where I can't see Thor. Returning to the jet Natasha and I gravitated towards each other. I would've floated off as soon as we got into the air if it hadn't been for her hand that's firmly latched onto mine in my lap. What Wanda had done, making me relive that memory, I could kill her. I'd gone entire years fighting kids who were older than me. I'd always been the younger of the pair. Until they pitted me opposite of her. I can still feel her skull breaking underneath the pads of my fingers. The deafening crack which haunts me. Clenching my teeth I try to pull my hand from Nat's but she clings to it tightly. Refusing to let me go.
"The news is loving you guys", Hill informs Tony at the front of the jet "Nobody else. There has been no official call for Banner's arrest but it's in the air."
"Stark Relief Foundation?"
"Already on the scene" There is a long pause in their conversation before Hill hesitantly asks "How's the team."
Tony looks around for a long moment, his gaze falling on me before answering "Everyones... We took a hit. We'll shake it off."
"Well, for now, I would stay in stealth mode", Hill advises Tony carefully "And stay away from here."
