"You forgave me Tony"
"That's different Addie. You're like the annoying sister I never knew I wanted. Rogers is..."
Receiving a call from Pepper I sneak ahead inside of the ship, allowing Tony to take the call. My helmet must know that I'm safely inside a breathable space because it peels back as does Tony's. Listening to Tony hum apologies I glance over the new suit Tony must've designed specifically for me. Gold interwoven through the black tech, my fingers picking at the strange material which clings to me tightly. It's not completely tech that's for sure.
"Woven cotton into the tech", Tony seems to suddenly answer my question. Shrugging under my curious gaze, Tony replies "What? I had a lot of time on my hands."
"But not enough to call Steve?" I raise my eyebrow accusingly
Tony stares at me long and hard, his expression draining of emotion from my statement "We're not doing this Adeline. Not now and not here."
"You forgave me Tony", I remind him quietly, trailing through the ship after him.
"That's different Addie", Tony tells me just as quietly "You're like the annoying sister I never knew I wanted. Rogers is..." His words faltering Tony remains silent from a long moment "We've always been complicated. Now he's made his decision."
"An unfair ultimatum between the friend he's made in the future and the brainwashed best friend he thought he lost during World War Two", I remind Tony. When Tony's hard gaze falls back on me I heavily sigh, "All I'm saying Tony is that with Thanos coming for the Stones now isn't the time to be holding grudges. We need to be united."
Tony doesn't reply to my words. His eyes flickering momentarily to the floor, I believe he's going to completely ignore me before he wonders "Might I ask how you found Banner of all people?"
Snickering I mention "I got myself tangled in Thor's family spat which evidentially got me spat out of the Bifrost on an entirely different planet in an entirely different realm. Hung out with Loki for a couple of weeks before I found the Hulk was the undefeated champion in a fighting ring. Kind of reminds me of the time when the Roman's would pitch fighters in the Colosseum."
