"Do you want me to give you a history lesson or do you want to run?"

"Running sounds good."

Set up in the lab I remain with Tony, Bruce, and Rocket as they hook the stone up to some robotic prongs. Tony had the idea to use his nano-tech to create a gauntlet. The theory is whoever uses it, no matter their size, the nano-tech will meld to their hand. Breathing a heavy sigh Tony uses a holographic gear of sort to move the stones into the gauntlet. Arms folded I watch Tony intently. One false move and those stones could blow us to smithereens. Slowly but surelybthe stones meld with the tech as expected. It's only once every single stone is in place that I breathe a sigh of relief.

That relief is broken by the urge to smack Rocket into Sunday when he suddenly yells "BOOM!" Jumping with Tony and Bruce I glare Rocket down as he snickers amusingly to himself at the fright he caused. When Tony moves to sit intimidatingly closer to Rocket I almost think he'll do the favor for me as Rocket continues to snicker at our frightened expressions.

Moments later everyone is gathered around the gauntlet in the lab as Rocket analyses it's integrity. "Alright, the gloves ready", Rocket assures us before hesitantly glancing up. Watching us all with his beady black eyes, Rocket carefully questions "Question is who's going to snap their frickin fingers?"

"I'll do it", Thor doesn't hesitate to step up. Nonchalantly waving his hands around, Thor assures us "It's okay-"

None of us even let him finish the sentence everyone's voices melding together in a bunch of disapproving tones telling him to hold on. Quickly, Tony, Steve and I have our hands pushing against Thor's sweater covered chest.

"Wait, wait Thor. Just wait", Steve halts Thor we push the god away "We haven't decided who's going to put that on yet."

"Oh I'm sorry", Thor sarcastically waves Steve off "Were we all just sitting around and waiting for the right opportunity?"

Scott not even denying it, interjects instead "We should at least discuss it."

"Look- us sitting here staring at that thing is not going to bring everybody back", Thor snaps jutting his hand out to the gauntlet. As we all stare at him, Thor reigns his emotions back in and gestures to himself and attempts to reason with us "I'm the strongest Avenger- okay? So this responsibility falls onto me. It's my duty."
