"Five years worth of pain feels just.... like...this."

Jumping from my portal my boots land unsteadily on the rubble of what'd been our driveway. Wiring shorting out around me I feel my jaw drop at what remains of our decimated compound. It's all destroyed. Everything. Dust clouds circle around us from the sheer amount of destruction done to the facility. Amongst the ash and dust from the rubble is a ginormous spaceship I know all too well. It's the same one which attacked the Asgardian refugee ship. The ship Loki died on. When I only see Thor stood at the ledge I quietly wander off to get a look at what he's staring so intently at. When I step beside him I can't help but a huff, "Why do I feel like I've been bitch slapped by Father Time?"

"Because when you mess with time", Tony grumbles, wandering up to my side with Steve "It tends to mess back." I hardly spare a glance to their dirtied bodies much like my own. Instead my attention rests solely on Thanos who sits idly on a rock amongst the destruction of our home. We must've left the Quantum Tunnel open or forgotten to factor something because there is no other way Thanos could be alive right now. I saw Thor first hand chop his head off like he was hitting a home run for the Yankee's. No, this Thanos is from one of the three pasts we'd traveled too.

"What's he been doing?" Tony wonders aloud after a long silent minute of us simply staring out at the titan.

Gruffly, Thor states "Absolutely nothing."

Another long tense minute goes by until Steve asks "Where are the stones?"

"With Clint down on the sewer level we'd been blasted into", I inform the three of them sourly "He's got those nasty demi-dogs hunting down the gauntlet." Sparing a look at all three of them, I clarify "For now Thanos doesn't have them."

"So we keep it that way", Steve agrees bluntly as we glare down from the blown off floor of the compound.

"You know it's a trap", Thor quietly points out to us "Right?"

Not missing a beat, Tony replies brazenly "Yeah. I don't really care much."

"Agreed", I mutter dangerously "I want to beat him so hard he turns a new shade of purple."
