"I was never choosing between you and Steve. Nothing to do with Clint, Wanda, Rhodey, Vision, Sam- anyone. I chose Bucky."
When I come to my vision is ridiculously foggy. Invaded with a dull blue cell or so it appears. Furrowing my brows I slowly look around at the generic stainless steel toilet and uncomfortable bed I currently sit on. Blue and white thin covers my only source of comfort. "Oh this is so satisfying to see", Secretary Ross's voice echoes around the block. Peering over to the side I see him sat on the small bench centring the circle of cells. My expressionless face meeting his, Secretary Ross strolls over with a giddy grin "They said it wouldn't be, but to see you back behind bars where you belong absolutely warms my cold heart." Rolling my eyes I'm about to make a remark when Secretary beats me to it "You know what else warms my heart?"
With a sudden pulse send through my skull I have no control of the scream which rips through my worn vocal cords. Unlike anything Rhodey or the government's black site produced, this pulse feels like it's tearing open my skull. My ear-splitting scream of agony echo's through the room painful tears run down my cheeks. I've never felt this level of pain before. Forget the white-hot iron this pain is a whole other level of hurt. When I drop to my knees I can hear more banging on cells around me. Clint and Sam's distinctive voices yelling amongst the agony.
"The normal human body can take up to 0.1 amps before death becomes an issue", Secretary Ross informs me when he ceases the pulse. Wiping the tears I muster up the best glare I can give him, the Secretary squatting in front of my cell "You just took 9.0 amps and astonishingly you're still breathing."
"Do you have a point, Mr. Ross?" I question him from the crouched position I've been reduced to "Or are you just that in love with the sound if you voice?"
"The minute you try to use your powers, I get to use this", Clasping his hands together with the remote inside Ross pleads "Please. Please do it." Spinning on his heel, Secretary Ross almost makes it to the door before laughter bubbles from my lips, echoing eerily around the room of cells. "What?" Secretary Ross questions me cautiously over my cackling "What's funny?"
