I sit down to breakfast disappointed by last night's group studying. When Pinkie and I arrived at the library we were shocked to see Twilight with them Apple Jack had told me that when she invited Rarity Twilight had overheard them and invited herself to come. She also told me that Twilight was like a thorn in Rarity's side. I could barely get my work done with Twilight chatting the whole time about random facts by was glad she caught me making a mistake on my positions homework and took it from me for her to redo.

In the end, I had finished my homework with some help from her. Pinkie elbows me as I get my self a slice of toast "look" she says looking at the roof I look up to see at least one hundred owls swooping down from the ceiling "post is here" Limestone says as an owl lands in front of her. An owl lands in front of Pinkie and she opens the box that was tied to the owl's leg "look!" she says elbowing me again I look at the stone in Pinkie's hands "it's from the rock farm" she tells me Limestone holds up her's and Maud does the same. The three Pie sisters turn to Marble Pie who shows them her rock from the Ravenclaw table. Rarity waves when she noticed we were looking at her table I wave back at her.

A like disappointed that my parents hadn't sent me anything the Gryffindor's walk outside for our first flying lesson with Slytherin. Once everyone was outside our teacher walks towards us "Good morning class I'm your professor, Sky Stinger. Everyone stand beside a broom" we all move to stand beside a broom "now let's start with the basics. Who knows how to get their broom into their hand?" he asks I raise my hand into the air when no one else did "Yes Miss Dash?" he asks "You say up" I tell him he nods "ten points to Gryffindor" I turn to Pinkie Pie who high fives me "I used to play Quidditch with your dad" he tells me I nod "said you weren't a bad flyer" he tells me I laugh "he's right I'm a great flyer" I tell him he nods "care to show us?" he asks I smile "up" I say to my broom

The broom flies into my hands. I mount the broom and kick my feet hard from the ground I fly into the air pointed upwards when I was above the cloud line I twirl into the air and let my broom fall. It gradually picks up speed and right before I hit the ground I pull up and dismount from the broom. The Gryffindors clap impressed even Professor Sky looked impressed "he wasn't wrong" he says "another ten points to Gryffindor" he says

"right," he says shaking his head "now could everyone now say up and get their brooms into their hands" everyone tries some getting it the second try others not getting it including Pinkie "with feeling!" Professor calls over everyone "UP!" Pinkie yells her broom soars up and hits her in the nose I laugh and she punches my arm. "Now everyone mounts your brooms but don't let your feet leave the ground" everyone does this but Snails who's broom rises into the air "Snails get down now!" Professor Sky Stinger says but he doesn't come down instead he flies higher into the sky.

The broom picks up speed and heads for the school. Suddenly Snail's broom flies away and he loses his grip he falls but his robe gets hooked onto a torch it rips and he falls. The class runs over to him in a circle Professor Sky Stinger pushes everyone away and picks him up. Snails were holding his wrist and tears were falling from his eyes "right well I'll be taking him to the hospital wing I want everyone to keep their feet firmly on the ground while I'm gone!" he says rushing off Snips follows closely behind him.

"Hey!" I turn when Pinkie says this. I push Sunset Shimmer when I notice she has Pinkie's rock in her hand "what it's just a rock?" she says to me "You're right it is" I say Pinkie gasps hurt by my comment "could you give it back?" I ask Sunset thinks "No," she says throwing the rock towards the school. I take off on my broom soaring towards the rock. I grab it and stop my broom right before I hit a window. I fly back to the ground and the Gryffindor's surround me "here" I say giving Pinkie her rock back. She hugs me tightly and smiles "thanks," she says I gently punch her arm "no biggy," I say

"Rainbow Dash" I turn to see Spitfire standing close to the school she gestures for me to come to her. I jog up to her "yes professor" I say when I reach her "could I talk to you a minute?" she asks I nod following her into the school "this is great!" she exclaims "what's great?" I ask she walks to the doorway of a classroom "sorry Professor Wind Rider but could I borrow Limestone?" she asks the teacher nods and I notice that he was my teacher for defense against the dark arts I wave to him and he nods continuing his lesson as Limestone walks out of the room.

"What's up?" Limestone asks Professor Spitfire "I found you a chaser" Professor says nodding to me Limestone smiles at me "I haven't even held tryouts yet Professor" Limestone says obviously not disappointed in her choice "no need she's a great flyer" Professor Spitfire tells her I smile at her "Gryffindor Chaser not bad" I say brushing off my shoulder Limestone pats my back roughly "let's see what you think when you're training every day" she says leaving to go back to class. "I'll see you in my class later today," Professor Spitfire says before leaving me I happily walk back to my class excited to tell Pinkie Pie the great news.
