I walk out of positions looking at the sheet of paper I had just been handed. I groan switching papers with Pinkie "look on the bright side" Pinkie says thinking "never mind there is no bright side" she says making me laugh "Well at least you're almost passing" Pinkie says handing back my sheet "You're right poor is the closest thing to passing I'll get my grade up to an acceptable by Christmas" I tell Pinkie as we enter our care for magic creatures class. Pinkie sits down next to Twilight while I sit next to Rarity.

"I was thinking" Rarity starts "when aren't you?" I joke she ignores my comment "for my spring collection I was thinking about a more-" before she could say anything else our teacher professor Wind Rider walks out from his office holding a lizard "I would like for you all to read some chapters in your books" he points to the blackboard where the chapters were written "I wonder when he's actually going to teach us" I whisper to Rarity she hits my arm playfully and giggles "you'd be asking for a lot" Pinkie whispers I smile at her and nod to Twilight who was reading the book rather intensely I mimic her with my book when her hand shots into the air. Professor Winder Rider stops petting his lizard and looks up "yes Miss Sparkle?" he asks "well I was just wondering it says here that" I block her out and pick up my book "better not to know" I tell Rarity she nods picking up her book.

After a long boring class, Apple Jack and Fluttershy met us outside the dark arts room. Apple Jack and I take the lead I look behind us to make sure Twilight wasn't in earshot "I mean honestly she's a nightmare" I exaggerate "Professor, it's just I read that and oh this is incorrect" Apple Jack laughs at my fake Twilight voice "no wonder she clings to Rarity like a sloth" she laughs again as someone pushes past me "I think she heard you" Apple Jack says as Fluttershy runs after her "Twilight!" she yells "more pudding for us" I say before we walk into the great hall "meet you at the doors after dinner?" Apple Jack asks I nod

"Look!" Pinkie says pointing at the roof. Instead of the usual floating candles there were jack o lanterns I smile when we sit down and see all the candies in front of us. Pinkie takes a bowl of M&M's and pours them onto her plate "the more the merrier" she says putting the bowl down I laugh as I grab a hand full of gummies "psst Dash" I turn around and see Apple Jack sitting next to some guy I nod at him "my brother Big Mac" she says I'd heard of him but never met him "hi" I nod he waves shyly. "Have you seen Twilight or Fluttershy?" Apple Jack asks I look down her table then turn my head to the Ravenclaw table and look down it. I shake my head "not since before dinner" Apple Jack nods "must be in the bathroom" she says before turning around.

The doors to the great hall opens Pinkie and I look but it wasn't Twilight or Fluttershy. Instead, Professor Winder Rider runs into the great hall "TROLL!" he yells "In the dungeons!" he says before fainting the hall erupts in screaming and Pinkie Pie jumps and hides under the table "Silence!" Headmistress Celestia yells over everyone "I want the heads of the house to take their houses back to their common rooms teachers follow me"

Everyone pushes to get out and I feel an arm grab mine. I pull Pinkie with me as Apple Jack takes us away from the crowds "they don't know" she tells me "who?" Pinkie asks "the girls!" Apple Jack says Rarity joins us "I know where they are," she tells us as she walks in the other direction of the common rooms. As we near the bathroom we hear a dragging sound and hide behind a corner as the troll walks down the hall we almost turned down "I don't think the troll's in the dungeon anymore" Pinkie says I cover her mouth as it opens the door to the bathroom. The four of us gasp and run into the bathroom Fluttershy was under a sink crying while Twilight was hiding in a stall.

"Hey!" Apple Jack yells the troll looks down at her "Over here!" she yells waving her arms "get the girls and get out" she tells me I nod rushing over to Fluttershy "we'll get you out of here" I tell her grabbing her arm and pull her up when I hear Rarity scream the troll had smashed the stall next to her and now she ran to the door. "Rarity!" I yell running over to her I knock her over as the troll raises its bat instead of it hitting Rarity it hits a sink. Rarity and I roll on the floor and I look up to see the bat I push Rarity and roll over. I get up on my feet but Rarity crawls away from the beast still on the floor. "Rarity get up!" Apple Jack calls the troll turns on Apple Jack but she was faster then it "Pinkie take Rarity and get out!" I yell to her not taking my eyes off the troll. It advances towards me and I gesture to Fluttershy that she leaves with them. "We'll detract the troll and get Twilight out" Apple Jack yells the troll charges at her but Twilight was quicker "wingardium leviosa!" she yells the bat in the hands of the troll flies into the air and hits its head. I run over to Apple Jack and pull her out of the way as the troll falls to the ground with a loud thud.

The six of us let out a sigh of pure relief we gather together in a group hug. "What happened here?" Headmistress Celestia asks when she opens the door with Professors Spitfire, Luna, Cadence, Sombre, and Wind Rider before anyone can say anything Twilight speaks up "It was my fault I wanted to see if I could take on the troll if it weren't for these girls I don't think I could of" she says gesturing to the five of us "that was very reckless and highly dangerous" she says "but I admire your determination" she adds "twenty points to Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Gryffindor" she says smiling "would you three escort the girls to their houses?" Mistress says to the heads of the houses they all nod. I look at Sombra and see his leg was bleeding he covers his wound with his cloak when he sees me looking. Pinkie and I wave at the girl as Spitfire takes us back to the common room "good thinking Dash" Spitfire says patting my back

"Thanks, Professor but I had some help," I say smirking at Pinkie she winks and we both start laughing.
