Year 6.4

I zip past the Ravenclaw taking the lead but Timber punches the ball from under my arm. I chase after him but Flash knocks into Timber who then drops the quaffle. The whistle is blown and we fly to the ground "Flash no roughhousing!" our coach Spitfire yells "I lost control of my broom" Flash explains the ref nods and lets us back onto our brooms "more like lost control of your emotions" Timber says rolling his eyes I stare at his seriously "what?" he asks I glare at him "you know what" I say seriously he shrugs and the whistle is blown.

The Ravenclaws cheer as their seeker catches the snitch and they win the game. Soarin and I walk off the pitch disappointed "if Flash could control his emotions better" Soarin says I nod "I can't believe he cost us the game" I say Soarin takes my hands "it's not your fault" he tells me I nod my head "I'm the captain now I'm to blame" I tell him he shakes his head but doesn't say anything as we walk back into the castle.

"Hey Rainbow!" Timber yells running up to me "listen I'm sorry about what I said I was just frustrated" he tells me I nod "no no I get it if someone flew into me and the ref made a bad call I'd be upset to" I tell him he nods and smiles "I don't want things to be awkward with us since you're..." he trails off awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck "one of Twilight's best friends?" I ask he nods his head blushing "no sweat I'll put a good word in for you" I tell him winking he blushes deep "we're having a party in the Ravenclaw common room I can get you in" he says I shake my head "I don't like going to parties alone" I tell him he shakes his head "you can bring Soarin" he tells me I smile as we sneak up to the Ravenclaw common room.

Timber lets us in and was instantly hit with blaring music and dancing people. I smile as I take Soarin's hand we dance for a bit until we get tired so we sit down. "Ravenclaw rules!" someone yells over the music Soarin and I laugh as TImber climbs on to a table "there's something I want to say!" he yells over the music someone turns it down for him "Twilight Sparkle I've liked you since the fourth year will you be my girlfriend?" he asks I look over at Twilight who blushes and nods everyone claps and cheers as they kiss all but one. I watch as Flash rushes out of the entrance I turn to Soarin and he nods "go" he tells me I kiss his cheek before rushing after Flash.

I run after him and find him sitting alone in a spiral staircase "hey" I say sitting down next to him "you should go back to the party" he tells me turning away "I hate seeing you upset like this" I tell him "was it the game? or the party?" I ask he turns around his eyes filling with rage "don't you get it! I've liked Twilight since the first year but she's never noticed me once!" he yells at me "are you stupid? She notices you all the time just not like that some times people just want to be friends" I tell him he rolls his eyes "easy for you to say you and Soarin have been dating for years!" he says I nod "that's true but that doesn't mean I didn't like someone before him" I tell FLash he looks at me sadly "you've had your heart broken?" he asks I nod my head "before Soarin and I met I had a huge crush on him but I was always told he was too good for me or that I'd never been with him" I tell Flash he nods

"so you're saying I should wait for her" he says hopefully I shake my head "no I moved on but when I saw him at the world cup I think that's when I knew I could never stop liking him" I tell him Flash nods and leans towards me "what are you doing?" I ask moving away "thanking you," he says leaning closer I get up "Flash didn't you hurt me say I'll never stop liking Soarin?" I ask he nods "it felt right though?" he asks walking towards me "being here with me it feels right" he says I shake my head "no it feels right when I'm with Soarin" I tell him walking away "you can't deny you're feeling for me forever Dash" he yells after me

"I'm not the one in denial!" I yell back
