Harry Potter X My Little Pony

Year 1.3

I walk into the transfiguration room with Pinkie Pie at my side. We had stayed up last night excited for our first day of class that wasn't the best idea on our parts but we made it past the first two lessons easily and lunch. I look around and realize that we had this class with Hufflepuff. I smile when I see an open seat next to Apple Jack "sorry" I tell Pinkie sitting down next to Apple Jack. "I hope this doesn't change things," I say to her she shakes her head "just means we all need to get together more," she says talking about our group of five. I nod smiling "we have positions with Slytherin next," I tell her looking at my time table she nods "I've got herbology with Ravenclaw I can talk to Rarity," she tells me as Fluttershy takes the seat next to Pinkie Pie.

"where are we meeting?" Pinkie asks Apple Jack shrugs "the library?" Fluttershy suggests "I mean we have homework and things I just thought...." she trails off nervously Apple Jack nods "that's a good idea we'll do that" Apple Jack says "great right after dinner?" I ask Pinkie nods "just bring your bags to dinner," Pinkie says before Apple Jack or Fluttershy could agree Spitfire walks into the room from a door at the front of the class.

"I'm Professor Spitfire" she introduces "former leader of the wondercolts" she adds sadly "before any of you can ask no I was not kicked from the team I suffered a terrible injury three seasons ago when one of the shadow bolts knocked me off my broom," she says angrily shaking her head then starts the lesson "did you all bring your books?" she asks everyone digs into their bags and pulls out their books "great could you all read the first two chapters" she says sitting down in a chair behind her desk. When everyone starts reading she pulls out an old magazine that had the wonder bolt symbol on it. I elbow Apple Jack in the ribs and nod my head to the professor "think she was a wonder bolt?" I ask in a whisper she giggles quietly "I doubt it" she replies we laugh before reading the chapters of the book. By the time we were finished we still had half an hour of class.

Spitfire looks up quickly hiding the magazine in her desk "great" she says clearing her throat "if you could read the next chapter that would be great" she tells us "oh and for homework read the next five after this chapter so up to chapter" she does the math on her fingers "chapter nine" she nods before getting her magazine from her desk. "Guess we're reading in the library" Apple Jack groans I shrug my shoulders "unless we read it now," I say "race you!" I say "You're on!"

By the end of the period I'd made it to chapter seven and Apple Jack chapter eight "I could summarize the chapter for you" Apple Jack teases I roll my eyes "or you could reread" I say she laughs "see you later" I wave to her and Fluttershy as they walk down a different hall. "Where is our class?" Pinkie asks I pull out my time table "the dungeons" I say she screams "Pinkie!" I laugh covering her mouth.

"What? It's spooky down there!" she tells me "You've never been down there" I tell her she nods "You're right but Maud told me what it's like" she shivers "and Professor Sombra HATES Gryffindors" she tells me I nod my head "well I'll hate him more" I tell her she laughs as we walk down the stairs to the dungeons.

Once at the bottom of the stairs Pinkie grabs onto my arm and starts shaking I laugh as we walk into class sitting at a desk at the back of the class. Some other first-year Gryffindors sit with us at the table as the Sylerins sit in the front rows. Sunset glares at me as she walks to the front of the room and sits at the front most table Snips and Snails rush into the room out of breath. They hold their heads high as they walk towards Sunset. They sit on either side of her when a sudden chill overcomes everyone in the room the torch lights flicker as Professor Sombra walks into the room.

He scowls at the Gryffindors when he stands in front of the chalkboard. He takes out his wand and writes into the air with it a piece of chalk jumps to life writing on the chalkboard. "Today you will read the first three chapters of your textbook on Pepperup Potion" I groan at reading "as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted" he says sneering at me "you will read these chapters and tomorrow we will brew the Pepperup Potion" he says turning his back to the class "any questions?" he asks not turning around "good" he says not even checking if anyone had raised their hands "if you have any questions don't bother me your task is so simple anyone could do it" he says as Snips and Snails laugh.

He sits at his desk going over the papers that were on it. I pick up my book and read the chapters three times over before the bell rings. "For homework, I'd like you to write the directions and ingredients needed for Pepperup Potion," he says before we leave I groan again "those who wish not to do this will fail tomorrows lesson," he says glaring at me as I get my things and leave. As I walk out of class I hear laughter behind me "I doubt she can even read" I hear Snips say "who?" Snails asks "Rainbow Dash!" Sunset Shimmer laughs I turn around "yes?" I ask crossing my arms "what do you want?" I ask her she shrugs "oh nothing," she says casually "just wondering if you can read," she says looking bored "yeah I can. Can you?" I ask turning around not waiting for her answer Snips and Snails laugh at her "I can!" she yells after me.
