I walk into Davenport's class groaning as I take the seat next to Pinkie Pie "I know" she says looking at all the pictures Davenport had put up "now do you think he'll be a good teacher?" I ask Rarity as she fights her way to the front of the class "Of course!" she yells at us from the front row. Flash sits at the table next to us "this'll be good" Flash says putting his feet up on the table Pinkie and I laugh.

We look up when Davenport clears his throat. He slowly makes his way down the stairs from his office I roll my eyes as Flash pretends to throw up Pinkie giggles at us. Davenport reaches the blackboard after dramatically walking down the stairs "I am Professor Davenport as you all must know by now I've written many books and traveled everywhere" he says dramatically "but now I'm here teaching you all how to protect yourselves from the dark arts in this world" he tells us "I must warn you that you may face your greatest fears in this room" he says causing all the girls in the front row to gasp.

"You must not fear I am here to protect you" the girls all sigh in relief I pretend to faint into Pinkie's lap "wow that's exactly what they did," Flash tells me "do you think it wasn't dramatic enough?" I asked rolling my eyes "now I must warn you do not scream it may provoke them" he says pulling a cage down from a shelve "pixies?" I laugh when he takes the sheet off the cage "yes Miss Dash woodland Pixies" he tells us I laugh again "laugh now Miss Dash but let's see if you laugh when I do this" he opens the cage and the pixies fly out of the cage and wreck havoc.

The girls in the front row scream and hide under their tables as the pixies pull on their hair. The pixies pick up books and start ripping pages out of them "hey!" Flash yells when a pixie lands on him "hold still!" I yell picking up a book. I hit the pixie. Davenport pulls out his wand and uses a spell that doesn't work "I'll just leave you five to put the last few in their cage" Davenport says running into his office I look around and see Twilight and Rarity both hiding under desks. "What do we do?" I ask Pinkie she shakes her head "I don't know" suddenly Twilight stands up from her desk and yells "Immobulus" the pixies stop moving and Twilight smiles to herself

We walk out of class meeting Apple Jack on the way "there's a meeting in the great hall for second years" she tells us we nod and make our way into the great hall. Instead of the normal four tables, there was only one. The second years take a seat at the table and when everyone was settled headmistress Celestia spoke. "I'm sure you all remember your first year here as it was only last year," she says "I'm guessing you all got lost on your way to classes the first few weeks so we've started a program to help first year's out. Starting next year the third year students will mentor first year's. You will all be excused from classes for the first ten minutes of each class in the first week next year. In this time you will show your first year to their class." she explains "since this is the first time we're doing this it'll be a test for not only us but you all. I'd like for this to go well so please follow what we want you to do" she says smiling at us "now we will give you the names of your first year's at the end of this meeting" she says before going on "not only will you show them where their classes are in the first week but we'd also like for you to help them with fitting in here" she tells us "now I'm sure you're all anxious to know whom you've got but I need to tell you one thing before I let you go" she tells us "even if you're in different houses I want you all to still help them out." she nods to us "in front outside those doors is a list of the pairs" she dismisses us

I walk outside and push my way to the front reading then names for my friends "Pinkie pie you have Silverstream, Fluttershy you're with Sandbar, Twilight you'll mentor Gallus, Rarity has Ocellus, Apple Jack got Yona, and mine is Smolder" I tell them the six of us walk away "Well I sure do hope they're in our houses," Apple Jack says "it'd make things a lot easier" Rarity agrees "does it really matter?" I ask "after the first week will we still mentor them?" I ask "I guess it depends really on if you want to or not," Twilight says
