Highschool students walked down the many streets as they progressed towards starting the first day of the term. After the events which took place last term their atmosphere seemed rather normal with the normal gossip and chatter. I watched as they walked in their groups of 2-8 or more while I walked alone. I'd normally walk with Jodie but now that she was gone I walked alone. My mind was set on other things however. I had yet to see George anywhere along these streets. But all that roamed were blurs of high schoolers. I couldn't tell if it was a bad or a good thing that I couldn't find him. Though I had a plan. I was going to talk with him today; whether he was already talking with someone or not. I was going to have some sort of chat with him and introduce myself properly.

Though the ways I could introduce myself circled in my head. First impressions meant everything; I had to get it perfect. Else what'll that mean for me? One mess up could cause my whole life to come to an end so I had to be careful. Getting closer to school however; I saw him. He was looking at his phone, blue and white side bag over his shoulder as he leaned against the bus stop. No one was with him.

...Was I finally given a chance? I didn't want to run over there and look like a moron. No. If this was a chance I was going to get then I may as well use it. So without hesitation; I went over. "Um, excuse me?" He looked up from his phone at me, confused. Just his look alone caused me to freeze up. So after a few seconds he put his phone down and looked fully towards me. "Yes...?" He asked in confusion to why I was bothering him in the first place. "W-Well... uh..."

What did we say about messing up Anemone...!

"You were alone and I wanted to be sure you were ok." I managed to spit out pathetically. He tilted his head a little then he shrugged. "I'm fine. I guess I do look like a bit of a loner." He replied. He looked back at his phone, sighed. Then put it back in his pocket, then he realised something. "Aren't you that girl who I met at the start of the year in the rain?"

H-He Remembers?!

"Uh, yeah. That was me. S-Sorry I haven't seen you since then so I wasn't able to give the umbrella back..." He waved his hand. "No it's not a big issue, don't worry about it." He replied with a smile, causing my heart to practically melt. I then looked down at my shoes to try and hide the fact I was blushing like mad and breathing rapidly. So I tried to focus on calming myself down from this sudden rush of feelings. "I never got your name." I looked back up at him in surprise. "My name?"

"Yeah. When we first met. I never got it."

"...anemone..."

"...Anemone?"

he said my name

"Yeah. Anemone..." I repeated, holding one of my hands on my chest and giving a smile to him. My eyelids slightly resting from the dreamy state I had now been casted into.

"Anemone... Like the flower, huh?" I nodded once more. "Yeah. Anemone Shi. You are?" I replied, starting to get a handle on my nerves and how to talk to him properly. "George Cooper."

"You work in the design department right?"

"Yeah, I do. It's my main class. Though I'm more focused on something else right now..."

"...Being?" I asked with curiosity. "It's just an after school project I plan to do with a buddy of mine. He's the brains and builder; I'm the design and planner. Though we see each other as equals."

"Sounds fun."

"Yeah, it is... You have any hobbies?"

"...Uh, well it may be lame..."

"Cmon. Spit it out, I'm sure it isn't."

My head started to go mental again; but I soon managed to recover it before seeming like an absolute weirdo. "I... Sew..."

"...Sewing then?"

"Yeah... I've just done it for a while and I guess it grew on me..."

"Yeah, sewing would fit someone like you from the looks of things. It's a cute hobby."

...W-Wait did he just call me c-cute...?!

My mind started to go mental again as I desperately tried to gain control of myself. Though I heard his phone bing; he picked it up out of his pocket and glared at the screen in irritation. "...Something wrong?"

"It's my sister..."

"...You have a sister...?"

"Yeah. She's about five years older then me... Jessica..." He grumbled as he typed a text back then shoved the phone back in his pocket. "One of the guys she's with has someone "important to him" starting at this school and she's asking me to look after her. Since after what happened last term the guy doesn't want her to end up hurt or anything worse. So she's assigned me to "guard duty" despite the fact she knows how much stuff I have to do..."

"Your sister sounds like a pain..." Although I was glad he didn't like his sister, though this other girl is what has me concerned...

"Yeah..." He muttered, though his glare soon turned soft and he shook his head. "Anyway, since I'm not waiting here anymore. Do you want to walk together?"

...

"U-Um. Sure." I replied, trying to hide my excitement as he started to walk. I followed. I was walking to school with him. I had only dreamt of this but now it was actually happening! I looked down at his hand which swung across from mine. Maybe this is a good sign. A chance after all the work I did to finally be alone with him and maybe even...

My hand started to reach for his but once I realised I pulled it back, what was I doing?! He didn't seem to notice thankfully... But I still needed to sort out my emotions one way or another. To avoid things like that from messing all of this up all together...
