Diyen grew up surrounded by sisters who wanted to braid his hair when he had long hair, thats when his youngest sister cut all of his hair of, which their father was not pleased with as it looked horrible and people thought Diyen had Some decease, he had a closer bond with his younger sister since they were both trained in fighting and she wasn't a typical lady- girl like his other sisters. He always enjoyed time with his nephews since he would not be surrounded by girls all the time, he spent most of his time with Raydan, Lurs and Klaus since Tavion would always run off with Lirinaray to pull pranks. Diyen wish he was as brave to do such things since they were not even afraid to prank the king, he might be their uncle but he was still the king. But when Diyen suggesties they should prank their aunt Toria, they froze, they dared to prank everyone except for Toria, which was ironic. When his father send him out to travel through Westeros he ended up in the Westerlands meeting a girl from house Hawthorne, who he fell in love with and would have eight children with. Six girls and two sons. The two ended up as lord and lady of Darkerly Castle when his parents passed away
