Happy endings are only in fairytales.

I am a believer of that statement.

I always see things complicated for both person whenever they are in a relationship. It's not that I am bitter or what, in fact I haven't experience being in love with an opposite sex. Kaya siguro ganito ang pananaw ko pagdating sa pag ibig o baka naman may iba pang dahilan?

I was never a believer of true love neither a perfect marriage.

I would always justify things in accordance to what I've seen and experienced.

Just like this...

I was bombarded with some text messages in our cousin's and siblings group chat.

Walang tigil ang pag tunog ng messenger ko sa mga posibling mensahe mula sa mga pinsan ko. Surely,it was all about Ate Viva and Kuya Mac's annulment thing. Yesterday, Ate Viva called her Mom, Tita Mariel about the whole story that happened in US. Kuya Mac was there two weeks ago and Ate Viva decided to follow with her son Denzel.

Tita Mariel told us that it was only an attempt of Kuya Mac but when I just read their messages it made me cursed.

Sid: I received a call from Viva, she said that Mac already has a lawyer for annulment. Bastard!

Feyt: Tell me that you're just joking kuya? No! This can't be!

Paul: Mac is a mess. I knew! Damn him!

Cathy: Maybe all of you guys slow down your words @Sid and @Paul hindi pa naman talaga alam anong plano ni Mac.

Sid: If he's serious he shouldn't have ended their relationship and file an annulment, Cath.

Aela: Paano si Mason? He's the most affected here.

Feyt: I can't forget Kuya Mac...promise.

Aela: Ate Viva must be hurting right now! Argh!

Sid: wait a second she's on the line

Bahagyang nawala si Sid sa usapan. Feyt, Ate Cathy and Paul continued talking about the topic.

Aela: @Viva are you okay?

Viva: I'm not.Uuwi ako dyan sa bahay. I will never be fine if I stay here forever. I'll be home with Denzel.

Isang message ni Ate Viva na nagpahinto sa pag uusap ng aming group chat.

Napa bugtong hininga ako't binaba ang cellphone. Sumandal ako sa headboard ng kama at napatitig sa kisame.

See?

Everything that I know always happens in real life. Hirap at sakit sa puso. Pangungulila at pagkawasak.

Pinuntahan ko si Ate Cath sa kwarto niya at naabutan na may kausap siya sa kanyang cellphone habang may ginagawa sa laptop. I closed the door slowly and sit beside her. She took a glance at me.

"I'll call you later..."

Binaba niya ang tawag at binalingan ako. "Bakit?"

"Are they even serious having an annulment?"tanong ko.

She sighed. Hindi sumagot.

"Akala ko ba pang habang buhay na iyon? Kawawa naman si Ate Viva."

"You like complicated things, right?"aniya.

"Grabe hindi naman ako ganon ka heartless,Ate."depensa ko sa sarili. "Malay ko bang sa kanila pala mangyayari ang mga ganon."

Tumihaya ako sa kanyang kama at pinagmamasdan siyang nakatalikod sa akin.

"Sometimes you're insights about things happens, Aela. At nagkataon na si Ate Viva at Kuya Mac."she said.

Masaya naman sina Ate at Kuya tignan kapag magkasama. They're always sweet and cute every time I look at them. They always laugh and very compatible to paired up. Ewan ko lang kung bakit nangyari ang ganito sa buhay nila.

"Third party ba?" I asked again after a moment of silence.

"I think it's not."

She shifted on her sit and slightly turned to see me. "Sa isang relasyon kasi, Ae hindi lang compatible dapat. It's not always positive and positive or negative and negative. It must be negative and positive to work out. May isang lubos na nagmamahal, lubos na nagtitiwala at magpaparaya. That's the positive. The negative should be pained in order for him to learn."

I gulped after hearing her words. My sister is my sister. Whenever she has something to say she always says it with all her heart.

"Even when they love each other?"

She chuckled. "That's how love goes, Aela. Bata kapa kaya wag mo munang isipin ang mga bagay tungkol sa pag ibig."

"Kuya Mac is the negative and Ate Viva is the positive,huh?"I cockily said.

Hindi na siya sumagot pa at nagpatuloy sa ginagawa.

Dalawang katok sa pintuan at bumukas agad iyon. Pumasok si Feyt na namumugto ang mga mata tapos si Paul.

"Oh! Kumusta?"tumayo si Ate at yinakap si Feyt.

"Sinundo na ni Kuya Sid si Ate Viva sa bahay nila."si Paul.

"Anong plano nila Tita Mariel at Tito John?"tanong ko,napatayo.

"Wala pang heads up sina mommy't daddy."umupo si Paul sa mini couch at sumandal roon.

"Kawawa ang Ate ko."sambit ni Feyt.

Hinagod naman ni Ate ang kanyang likod at pinaupo sa kama.

Four sure, the elders are doing something right now. Of course, they won't let this happen to Ate Viva.

Isang oras kaming nanatili sa kwarto ng ate ko bago bumaba sa sala nang makarating na sila Sid.

Ate Viva's sobs in front of us. Wala ni isang nagsalita sa amin na nakatingin lang sa kanya habang nasasaktan rin. Beside me is Feyt and Paul. Next to Paul is my Ate and Kuya Sid. Tita Mariel is kneeling in front of Ate Viva while my parents are silence too.

"I want it to happen tomorrow, Cyrel. Here in our house...yes...okay, Thank you."binaba ni Tito John ang tawag at nilapitan kami. "Hush now, Viva bukas maghaharap tayo ni Mac with his parents."

"Dont be so insensitive, John. Kita mo namang nasasaktan ang anak mo rito..!"Tita Mariel almost shriek.

Napapikit si Tita John na halatang nagpipigil na mairita.

"It's okay, anak. We'll work things  out, okay? I promise."saad ni Tita Mariel at pinunasan ang luha sa mata ng anak.

This is breaking our whole hearts. Seeing how miserable one of us is new. This is new.
