I do use quotes in my story and just so it's clear it not mine.

I could particularly feel my body temperature rise, the closer we got to Natasha's house. Various questions raced through my head like a bunch of cheetahs running through African grasslands. Natasha said that we don't have to pick him up cause the school bus would drop him off. We got home before he did and I just waited in the living room while Natasha prepared dinner.

''Do you mind having spaghetti and meatballs?'' She shouted from the kitchen. ''Sure, that's sounds lovely.''

I started to get a little agitated and followed the scent of meatballs to the kitchen, which is 8ft away from the couch I was sitting on because the living room and kitchen are attached.

''Whoa. Looks like we have a master chef in the house.'' I said leaning against the arch way. Natasha lightly chuckled, ''I'm far from it. The food should ready in about few minutes.''

My heart dropped to the ground when I heard,'' Mommy, I'm home.''

Natasha could see that I was nervous and patted my shoulder, ''Don't worry. He'll love you.''

I nodded and walking to the living room, behind Natasha as wiped my hands against my trousers,'' Hey baby, how was school?'' She sat next to him in the 3 person couch and I sat in front of him in armchair. ''School was fun, Mommy. Hi, Tyler.''

''Your food is ready but first we need to tell something.'' She looked at me and nodded.

I got up and walked towards Tyson. ''Tyson, you know that most kids have both a mother and father,'' he nodded, ''so you've probably wondering who your father is. Well...umm...it's me. I'm your father.''

His smile was adorable but I was confused why was he smiling. ''I kind of already knew.''

I looked over at Natasha who looked just as surprised as me. She asked, ''How?''

''Well, one, we have the same hair and eye colour. Two, Mommy trusts me with you when we went out, mom instantly calmed down when she found out I was with you. Three when we were in the office, I heard people call you 'Mr. Grant' and realised we have the same surname.'' I understood if this was an adult or even an adolescent but I was still utterly shocked that an 8 year old was this clever.

''You are a very smart boy, you know? And I know that you're probably wondering what happened well...,'' I looked over at Natasha shaking her head, ''we'll tell you when you're older.''

''I understand. I have to go change. I'll be back down in few minutes.'' He stated, running up the stairs.

''Why did stop me from telling him?'' I asked as soon as I was sure he left. ''To be honest... I don't know.''

''What about Alex? Have you heard from him?'' Her face saddened which immediately brought me pain. A beautiful soul like her's shouldn't feel pain. However, I liked that I had a chance. He didn't deserve her, not that I did either. But everyone had an addiction, a want, an obsession. She was all 3. Something about her was just called to me. I won't give up until I have this family back together.
