Kabanata 32

It's the first day. First day of us being exclusive. Kahit based on fake contract ang relasyon namin, exclusive is exclusive. Walang magbabago duon. Hindi ko alam kung bakit pag gising ko kanina, parang iba ang araw ko. Parang kinakabahan ako at the same time mayroong excitement. I want to know more about Nic - how he is as a lover and as a boyfriend. 

Mali ba na isipin ko yun? I should be detached kasi alam ko naman na walang patutunguhan ito, na kahit anong mangyari ay ako ang talo. But I can't help but think of the what if,  what if may mangyaring unexpected?  Na one of us or both fall for each other?  What will happen then?

I stared long and hard at the wall before preparing for work.  Hindi ako dapat nagaalala sa mga ganito. I tend to overthink things which destroys most of the plans I make. Yes, so for today, I should just focus on my work. These past few weeks puro love life nalang, si Nina at si Gerard ang iniisip ko.  To be honest,  napapabayaan ko na ang business. And for sure,  Nina also isn't doing well in terms of business. 

Hindi naman sa minamaliit ko siya,  but knowing Nina,  she has a tendency to prioritize other things than the business. However, she is smart so I'll give her that. Plus dahil related sa course niya ang work namin ay mas madali sakanya ang mag adjust sa bagay bagay. At huli sa lahat, alam niya na I value our restaurant so much and I know she will use this as an advantage to get back at me kaya naman kahit anong mangyari, hindi ako dapat distracted. 

When you're at war, you should always come focused and prepared. 

I wore my black sultry pantsuit - black slacks plus one shoulder ruffled top, just the perfect combination of classic and sexy. Tinali ko naman in a low ponytail ang long brown natural locks ko para neat ang look. Lastly, I put a light touch of makeup on my face - brown eyeshadow, soft pink blush and a touch of gradient lips na usong usong korean makeup ngayon. Thank you talaga Youtube for helping me learn makeup and fashion. Siguro kung wala sila Michelle Dy, Anna Cay at ang mga iba pang nagvvlog about makeup ay deads na ako ngayon. Taking my unused Chanel black bag with me, I then went to my car and drove to the restaurant. 

Turning my car to the familiar road of the restaurant, nakita ko na agad ang kotse ni Nina at ni...Gerard? Tinignan ko relo ko at napaka aga naman niya para pumunta sa restaurant considering hindi pa open ang restaurant at 8am. Hmm, I parked my car a few spaces beside theirs kasi ayoko naman na pati ba naman parking pag aawayan namin. And plus ang bagong goal ko ay wag patulan si Nina. Kill them with kindness diba? Well, more of make them realize kung ano ang mga pinakawalan nila.

After making sure na okay ang itsura ko ay lumabas na ako ng kotse and walked to the entrance of the restaurant. Sa labas palang ng glass doors ay naririnig ko na ang ingay sa loob - something about reception at kung ano ano pa. Hmm? I opened it and tama ngang sobrang busy ng mga tao. 

"Besss!" Lumapit agad saakin ang frantic na Carl. 

"Oh bakit? Ano nangyayari?"

"Kasi.." He started. 

"Oh, andito ka na pala, girl!" Lumapit saakin ang smiling na si Nina. 

Weird. 

She's oddly nice. Too nice. 

Hinook niya ang braso niya saakin at pinasunod ako papunta sa kitchen area with Carl on our tails. Nadaanan namin ang mga empleyado na nag aayos at naglilinis ng lugar. Pag dating sa kitchen ay nakita ko ang mga chefs na busy sa pagluluto. She unhooked her arm at pumunta sa gitna ng kitchen. 

"Guys, bilisan niyo ha. I want the food to be perfect. Gusto ko one of a kind ang event na to so before the day ends, I expect to be able to pick at least three of the twenty I asked you to make." Cinlap niya ang hands niya at lumabas ng kitchen. 

Tinignan ko ang mga chefs na busy sa pagluluto at kay Carl na nakakunot ang noo. Something is very wrong about this. Wala naman silang pineprepare na food for today. Lumabas ako at sinundan si Nina, by this time kasama na niya si Gerard - naguusap sila.

"Ano nangyayari?" Ang tanong ko.

"Well, Angel dear, today is my fiance and I's taste testing."

"Taste testing?"

"For the wedding of course. Kasi why not promote our restaurant in our grand wedding diba? We also want it to be a Paris themed wedding. You know, yung tipong sobrang romantic na para kang nasa France? Something na you only read in books?" She smiled smugly at me while holding hands with my ex-fiance. 

I didn't care about the PDA though. I'm more angered by the fact na she stole my dream wedding for me. My dream Paris themed wedding na palagi kong nakkwento sakanya. Nagawan ko pa ng scrap book yung dream wedding ko dati and I couldn't believe na she would do this. 

At syempre nakita niya ang pag ka kunot ng noo ko kasi mas lalong lumaki ang smile niya. 

"And Angela dear, since we're close naman, we want you sana to be in with the taste testing. Alam mo na, we wouldn't want you to miss out."

That's the last straw.

I threw my goal out of the window. 

"Sure!"  I smiled back.
