Unexpected kindness is most powerful, least costly, and most underrated agent of human change.

I was beyond pissed. The alarm didn't ring this morning, all the water had suddenly become cold and most of my clothes were in laundry when it was only Wednesday and I still had two days of school.Furthermore, I got stuck in traffic and was late to first class. Cherry on top, in third period, Mr. Walters though it would be excellent to take a chemistry pop quiz.
Here's the thing: I suck at chemistry so I had my fingers crossed that Mr. Walters would be nice enough to mark me on my out of the world doodling. Which sadly is worst than my chemistry.
At times like this I wish could be like Roman and ditch. The guy did have a reputation.
I was glad fourth period was French with Mrs. Amorè or someone would've definitely been stabbed by lunch.
With French class in mind, I closed my locker only to jump a mile away, hand on my chest to calm my heart down. "DECLAN!"
The dufus had the audacity to laugh. "You scared the hell out of me," I rebuked and he smiled.
"Angels like you shouldn't be scared of hell" he winked and I couldn't help but melt.
I smiled and his smile broadened. "Now that's better. You have a scary scowl."
I hit him lightly on the arm and start moving toward class. However, I turn to Declan with a raised eyebrow when he started walking beside me.
"What? It's common courtesy to escort a beautiful girl to her class," he said with a little bow.
I smirked. "If only half the guys knew this common courtesy, the world would be such a better place," I mused.
"Plus I wanted to ask you something."
Of course he did. I rolled her eyes.
"Yeah?"
"So is it true that Roman ditched Kylie to hook up with you?"
I halted in mid-step. Straining my ears to make sure I heard him right. However Declan didn't stop. He walked backwards, his eyes trained on me.
Once it finally clicked what he said, I sprinted towards him. "What?" Was all that left my mouth.
"I said-"
"I heard what you said the first time," I heckled and he opened his mouth but I cut him off. "Where did you hear that?"
He was about to say something but I interrupted. Again. "Did Roman tell you that? Because if he did I am so introducing him to my fist that son-'" I ranted with narrowed eyes but was stopped by Declan.
"Woah, woah, woah," he held his hands up, trying to calm me down.
"Rome didn't say anything. Kylie was whining to Gabriel this morning about how Rome ditched her and ran after you, so we only assumed that you two, you know," he explained.
"No we didn't. Kylie was just being a bitch." Declan laughed and looked over.
It was only than did I realize that he was still moving backwards and hadn't collided with anyone. Looking away, I saw that people were moving out of the way for us. Or more specifically for Declan.
My eyebrows knitted together. I knew people were scared of the other three but Declan?
I couldn't imagine him hurting a fly, but then again I can imagine Roman hurting whosoever messes with his friends.
I stopped when we reached outside the French class and turned to Declan.
"Well this is me," I said pointing towards the class. Declan looked at the class I was pointing at and smirked.
"You're in this class?" He mused and I nodded, eyeing him suspiciously. "Yeah why?"
He just shook his head like he knew a secret. "Nothing. Have fun." He waved before moving ahead, leaving me confused as hell.
What was so special about this class?
