Those who are heartless,
once cared too much.

I knew it was a bad idea to go out this late at night.

But I didn't know how bad it was going to be until I rounded the corner of the road, and low and behold, Roman Winter crashed into the side of the Jeep's hood.

Thankfully I wasn't going too fast, which is why not much damage was done.

Roman, who had stumbled back, looked up to glare at the driver but held back when he realized it was me.

He began to round the hood, just as the other three rushed out from the direction Roman had come from.

Wide eyed, I looked at Roman as he opened the door to the passenger seat. "What the actual hell?" I shouted, as he slid in.

"I'm starting to think you like coming in front of my car," I carried on, as the other three opened the back door to get in. "But newsflash buddy, I'll go to jail-"

Roman harshly took my hands in his, and placed them on the steering wheel. "Just shut up and drive Faith."

That was when I really looked at his face. Which had a big gash just above the right eyebrow and blood flowed out of it. Turning my gaze at his hands on mine, I realized his knuckles were covered with blood as well.

"Wait. What happened to-"

I was cut off by Astrid, who slid forward, her short hair a mess, and screamed, "Faith do as he says."

"Step on it. Step on it," Declan urged from his seat.

I looked back and saw Gabriel and Declan looking out the window. Following their line of sight, I cursed with wide eyes as I saw big men with tattoos rushing our way.

Without another word, I put the car into gear and rushed away. "Would someone explain to me what is going on?" I screamed, looking back into the mirror to see that the men had actually started running after us.

"Who are these men and why the hell are you all bloody and bruised?" I badgered as I speed up, yet got no reply.

I drove like a maniac, without much direction until I was sure we weren't being followed anymore and then slowed down before finally coming to a stop in a secluded area.

For a second no one said anything, while I caught my breath. Then I looked over at Roman, only to find him eyeing me warily.

"Get out," I said with force. Roman didn't say a word back. "What?" Declan frowned in the back.

Letting out a tired sigh, I repeated, "Just get out." With that, I unbuckled my seatbelt and moved out of the car.

Opening the truck of the Jeep, I looked at Roman. "Sit," I commanded, pointing towards the trunk and Roman glared, looking offended. "I'm not-"

"Sit," I asserted with a glare, reaching for the first aid box that was in the back.

Roman, for once in life, did as I asked and sat down.

I opened the box and took out some cotton swabs. Turning back to Roman, I saw him curiously looking at me.

I raised his arm using his wrist and then looked back at him. Letting out a frustrated sound, he raised his sleeve and surely enough there were scratches on his arm as well.

"Why do you have a first aid box in the back of your car?" Gabriel asked from my left as he stood there with Declan while Astrid stood on my right.
