She had a lively, playful disposition that delighted in anything ridiculous

"You're unbelievable."
Miley scoffed, taking in the creepy smile I had stretched on my face, and I stuck my tongue out childishly.
I was not letting her ruin my moment.
"What's not to believe?" I chirped. "I got a B minus on a test I didn't study for. It's an accomplishment."
The chemistry test that we had last week, was given back today, which was the reason for my happy mood.
I was freaking out yesterday after I left school because of what I did to Roman. It seemed justified at the moment in anger but after a good thought, I realized I had stepped into the lion's den.
But all worry dissipated after I got the test back and so here I was celebrating my grade with crappy cafeteria food.
Jake nodded his head as we sat on our table in the cafe. "It really is. I had studied for the thing and still got a D."
Miley snorted at this and Jake gave her a sour look. "What?" He asked eyeing her suspiciously.
"You got a D now?" Miley broke into a fit of laughter. "Thought you already had one."
Jake gave her a blank look. "Were we suppose to laugh?" He deadpanned and at this I couldn't hold my giggles back. Raising my hand I said, "I laughed."
"Yeah, so will I," I heard a voice say behind me and then something soft smashed in my face.
The cake slide down my face and fell on my lap with a ugly sound while all I did was stared ahead, with my mouth open, not believing what happened.
"Been waiting to do that since the morning," Roman smirked as he dusted his hands.
"Oh my God." And that ladies and gentlemen, is when my dumb best friend burst into laughter. And she was the only one who did while everyone looked on.
Wiping the cake off my face I shifted in place to look at Roman who stood smugly with his arms crossed.
I really should've expected this but I didn't.
But Roman was already expecting what I was going to do next because he ducked when I threw the cake in my lap his way and it hit Declan straight in the face.
"Shit," I cursed while trying to stop myself from smiling. "Declan, that-"
I didn't get much time to apologise when Declan grabbed the meatball Bolognese plate and threw it my way. Though I ducked and it ended up hitting one of the basketball players.
"Hey," he cried incredulously and then hell broke when someone shouted, "Food fight"
Miley didn't waste a single moment to dump her pudding on Jake while Roman got the nearest ketchup bottle he could find and squirted it on me.
I screeched and while he was busy, Astrid and Gabriel took the bottles of mustard and squirted it all on Roman.
The cafeteria was a mess when a loud voice boomed, "Stop."
Everyone stopped and looked at the Head of Discipline, Mr Charmin.
He glared at each and every one of us before he asked, "Who started this?"
Simultaneously all heads turned our way and he too looked over at where Roman and I stood.
Well I guess it's principal's office for us

Mr Jordan stared at Roman and I with disappointment.
Whether because we started the food fight or because we were dripping food around his room, I wasn't sure. But I didn't ask.
He sighed and rubbed his temples before looking at Roman. "Why am I not surprised to see you?" He sounded so tired that I pitied him.
I've only been dealing with Roman for three weeks and I'm done with the him. The poor guy had been going through this for more than three years.
"She started it," Roman blamed, pointing towards me with a glare.
My mouth dropped open in offence as I glared back "He threw cake on me," I accused, pointing to my head.
"She poured water on me."
"He called my brain unused."
"I also said it's worth a lot."
"He called me a brat."
"Enough," Principal Jordan chided, making us stop and look at him. Taking a deep breath to calm himself down, he once more looked at Roman. "I did not tell you to attend classes Mr Winter to call people brat."
Well that explained why he suddenly appeared in class yesterday, I thought smugly as I looked at him and his jaw clenched.
"And need I remind you Miss Morris." I frowned when principal Jordan addressed me. "That you aren't the princess of this school. Yes your brothers have been important to us, but that doesn't give you right to throw water on people."
"But-" I was about to argue when he held his hand up.
"Now I can't let the two of you off the hook that easily," he proceeded, and I shook my head in panic.
"I can't have detention sir, it'll destroy my record," I exclaimed and Roman rolled his eyes.
"Should've thought of that before you pour water on me," he sassed and I kicked his chair while Principal Jordan gave him a stern look.
He looked back at me. "No, Miss Morris. I'm not giving you detention."
"You're not?" I asked with a frown in confusion and this time Roman kicked my chair.
Principal Jordan shook his head. "No. Instead you two are going to do some community work."
