But love is more dangerous

"Anyway, how are everyone back home?" Heath asked, looking as messy as ever in his Batman pyjamas.

"All's great," I assured, looking at the screen where all three of my brothers could be seen.

"No one's giving any trouble to Miley or Lina?" Sky questioned, for once serious.

"Nope."

"And how is Jakey boy's practice going?" Arden quipped.

"He's working hard," I said and he nodded.

Most people would hate seeing someone else get their old position but not Arden. He sincerely wanted Jake to be the captain.

"But don't let him overburden himself," Heath instructed and I nodded.

"Oh trust me, he's having fun alright," I said evilly remembering the trips to the toilet he took due to the hangover.

Karma's a bitch.

I turned to Arden. "How's Thea?" I asked and his expression visibly soured.

"She's fine," he mumbled childishly.

"Aw. Did she finally realised you weren't good enough and found herself a real man?" Sky teased and I smirked.

"Oh my god! She got herself a boyfriend! I bet he's hot," I fake-squeaked and Arden's lips turned into a straight line.

Thea was Arden's best friend since he was thirteen. She was the reason why Miley and I were still somewhat girls and Lina compensated for what Thea couldn't do.

"No she didn't," he snapped and I bit my lips to hide my smile. "We had a bit of a fall out," he explained, rather calmly.

Sky and I nodded solemnly, though we shared a small smile.

Arden then turned to Heath. "How's the residency going brother?"

Heath groaned. "Horrible, Hor-ri-ble," he confessed.

"Why?" It was like Heath just needed a chance to open his mouth.

"This girl, Wendy, Wendy Harper, hates me. I didn't even do anything to her. She was suppose to get the senior doctor I have and since I am better than her, I got him. And she had to work under another doctor but we are working in the same department. And now she's out to get me. She spilled her coffee on me and..." Heath ranted but all three of had lost interest.

Once he was done he took a deep breath and stared at us expectedly.

"All I got was, that some girl hates you and it's all your fault," I summarised.

"I zoned out after I heard the girl's name. So not interested in any girl problem," Sky shrugged.

We all looked at Arden and he was busy typing something at his phone. Sensing eyes on him, he looked up and blinked.

"Oh I stopped listening the minute you opened your mouth," Arden said and Heath glared at us.

I smirked and turned towards Sky. "Any girl you're interested in?" I asked and he scoffed, ignoring Heath as he mumbled about not being interested in Wendy.

"No girl walking on this earth can get my attention for long."

"Or," I started looking him straight in the eye. "Logically speaking, you just haven't met her yet."

Sky smirked at this, leaning back in his seat. "Baby girl, because she isn't real. Love is just a fantasy that stupid girls make to get what they want from a guy."

Arden, who had been, intently listening to us leaned towards the screen. "Tell me this Faith, have you been in love?"

I stopped and tapped my finger on my chin as I pondered on the question and my other two brothers leaned forward as well, desperately waiting for my answer.

"Does Mr Winkler count?" I asked with a frown.

Arden dropped his head on the table as he groaned. "Oh my God, why do we bother with this girl?" He asked the other two and I raised an eyebrow at the screen.

"You do realize that you're basically encouraging me to go out and find a guy to fall in love with, don't you?"

Heath and Sky both glared at Arden. "Jesus, Arden. Shut up," Sky chided while simultaneously, Heath looked my way and said, "You aren't going out."

Arden, having completely ignored Sky, added, "You aren't meeting any guy."

"And most important of all, you're not falling in love, because it's an open invitation to getting hurt and we don't want that," Sky finished.

"Jeez," I whistled looking between my brothers. "Fine, I'm not meeting any guy. You're all I need," I flashed a cheeky smile and the three just blankly stared at me.

"Faith, don't flatter us," Heath stated followed by Sky, who asserted, "Say it."

"Okay okay," I said, raising my hands in defence. "I'm never going to fall in love with a guy," I swore and if only I had abided by that promise.

If only.

What do you think love is?
And do you think Faith will be able to keep her promise?

What about Sky? Will he be able to find someone?

Guess you'll just have to wait for the next chapter. ^_~
