I stomped my feet as I trudged out of Starbucks in the middle of the night.

Well that's a bit of an exaggeration because it's only a little over 7 in the evening but that doesn't make any difference, because it was suppose to be a lazy summer night.

And to think only an hour ago I was quite comfortably lounging in my bed in my powerpuff girls pyjamas.

But no.

Sky just had to barge into my room and demand a chocolate frappuccino because he was craving one.

Sometimes I wonder if all three of my brothers are secretly pmsing drama queens. They definitely play the part very well.

And not two seconds after he had opened his mouth, Heath  strolled his lazily, requesting some chocolate muffins.

What irked me the most was that they could've called Arden who was already out to get them but they didn't.

Instead here I am outside Starbucks, with a handful of food, juggling to get the keys of the car from my pocket.

Finally getting the keys, I welcomed the warmth the inside of the car provided.

Thankfully my dimwit brothers had enough sense to not send me on foot to get their food.

The old blue jeep was Sky's little baby, and he didn't trust me with it - which is stupid because I'm impeccably responsible - but today was one of his lazy days hence I was granted permission to take it.

I revived the car and carefully drove it out of the parking onto the road.

I allowed myself to live in the silence for a while before turning the radio on as I drove through the suburbs towards home.

Loud music blasted out of the radio the moment my finger pressed the button and my eyes widened as my hands went up to cover my ears.

The car swayed slightly and I quickly held the wheel with one hand, managing the car while I jammed my finger in different buttons hoping to turn the thing off.

I was so busy hoping that no one in the neighbourhood will call the cops that I didn't notice three figures emerge out from the corner of the street.

I should've bothered.

I should've looked up sooner.

Maybe I would've managed to avoid all the fuss that came after that.

But I didn't.

I did manage to turn off the radio but just as I looked up a person came in front of the car.

I stomped my feet on the breaks, and like slow motion the car slowed down but not in time because the person hit the car just as it was about to come to a stop and fall back.

For a second I stayed in my place and did absolutely nothing.

If only I haven't acted on impulse and gotten out of the car to make sure the car was okay and not blood splattered because of a human, maybe life wouldn't have been so hard.

Maybe I wouldn't have faced Winter.

And maybe I wouldn't have become Winter's Faith.
