When you are guilty,
It is not your sins you hate,
But yourself.

"It wasn't your fault," Heath shouted as I got my coat off the hanger and put it on.
"That's just it," I screamed back with just as much intensity. "You'll never understand it."
This caused Heath to scoff. "Me? You're the one who refuse to understand," he bit back.
"Me? No, you three are the only ones who refuse to see what actually happened,"I countered. "Dad sees it. Mom-" I abruptly stopped and heaving heavily.
"Forget it," I clucked. Grabbing the keys to the car, I made my way to the door of Heath's apartment. "I'm out of here."
I opened the door while Heath huffed from behind me, "Faith, heaven's sake. It's raining outside."
But I was too mad to care. I slammed the door shut behind me, and walked through the rain into the Jeep.
I revved the car and drove back to home. Which was going to be just as lonely as the car because I had given the housekeeper the day off since I was suppose to stay the night and tomorrow at Heath's place.
The rained showered with pressure, making it hard to see anything, yet I drove ahead.
And then the car stopped with a jerk. I lurched forward with a start but thankfully I wasn't hurt. I tried starting the car up a few times and it roared up everytime but then stopped working.
I sighed, tears pooling in my eyes as I leaned my head against the steering wheel. I couldn't even fix the car up because I didn't knew how to.
I don't know how long I stayed there until my phone rang, bringing me back to reality.
Without checking, I picked up my phone - that I had thrown on the seat - and answered it. "Hello?"
"Why the fuck are you just sitting there for the past few minutes?" An awfully familiar voice roared through the phone and I lifted my head to look at a new number.
"Roman?" I inquired in confusion and when he grunted in response, I let out a sigh of frustration.
"Look I'm in no mood to deal with you right now. I'm already having a bad day and the stupid car won't work so the last thing I want-"
"Get out," he cut me off and I frowned in offence. "Excuse me?"
He too let out a strangled sound of frustration. "Get out and run towards my car that's parked opposite to your's dumbhead."
"I don't want-"
"Shut up. That wasn't a request." I looked at the screen of my phone in shock as he hang up.
I weighed the pros and cons of the situation and in the end collected my phone and rushed out of the car and towards Roman's Audi after locking my own car.
Roman had opened the door so I easily slid in and closed the door behind me.
He looked at me and frowned at my dripping state. "You're getting my seats wet," he grumbled, starting the car.
"I could just as easily walk back into my car," I snapped and Roman glowered back, "Just put your seatbelt on."
Doing as said, since I was in his car, I inquired, "What about my car?"
"I'll have someone over to get it," he absent-mindly told me, as he navigated the car.
He asked me to put in directions of my house into his GPS and then silence eloped the car.
Once it started getting awkward, I leaned forward and turned the radio on and immediately a wave of serenity washed over me as a familiar song started playing.
Leaning back into the leather seat, I mouthed along until Roman abruptly turned the radio off and I cried, "What? I was listening to that."
"Did you even ask before turning it on?" He snapped and I glared at him. "The silence was killing me."
Scoffing Roman looked my way. "Okay Faith. Then riddle me this: Why were you out in the rain at a time like this?"
I looked away and stayed quite. Which only prompted him to go on. "Okay. Don't want to answer that. Fine. Next question: why are you in a bad mood?"
"Why do you care?" I bit back and Roman raised his finger. "Uh-huh. I get to ask the questions," he chimed in.
Huffing, I asked, "Why?" And Roman only shrugged.
"Because I said so."
"When did you say that?" I miffed and Roman retorted, "Well I'm saying it now."
I let out a sigh, knowing this was going nowhere. I let my head drop back as I thought of everything Roman had said.
In the end, I exhaled and let out a bitter chuckle which made Roman turn my way.
"We both have chains that bound us Roman," I disclosed as I looked at him. "The only difference between us is that, I hid that chain with a smile and you with a frown."
Roman must not have like what I said because his face darkened. "Just shut up," he denounced and I smirked.
"Hit I nerve, did I?" I rebuked. "What? Are you the only one allowed push buttons?"
"You don't know anything about me," he darkly proclaimed but I was too frustrated to care.
"Of course I do," I jeered. "You're Roman Winter. The guy who never shows up. The one who beats anyone who goes against him."
I should've stopped there but I didn't. "The one who has everything, the money, the looks and yet you act like the poor soul who has lost everything."
"And what about you?" He taunted with a bitter smirk. "Little miss sunshine? You think you have everything figured out, don't you?"
With equal hatred in my voice, I leered, "I have you figured out."
Roman stopped the car and threw a look full of hatred my way. "Get out."
I had seen it coming, maybe that was why I provoked him in the first place.
Throwing him a sarcastic smile, I said, "With pleasure."
Then I walked out his car, into the rain, closing the door with as much force as I can, and started walking to my place, not caring how far it was.
