*3rd POV*
It was the day after Christmas, and Roman was more than ready to throw himself out a window. He hated the holidays, because all his relatives would come over and most would overstay their visit.
His dad's side loved gossiping about what a bad boy he was, and what a sorry life he had.
And Roman wasn't interested in their pity, nor did he want the sympathies his mom's family gave him whenever they come over. Much like today.
All he wanted to do, was be with people who understood what he felt and not pick on him like he was some feast.
All he wanted to do, was know if Faith liked her gift. He hadn't wanted anything more than to be there when she opened her gift, but something about the way she had been avoiding him, told him to stay away.
Furthermore, Roman felt guilty about bringing her father up because she had sort of closed up after his mention.
All he wanted to do was take her pain away, because she had done so much more for him.
So when his mom's family had left, and his parents came, and unceremoniously fell on the couches, next to the one the three siblings had already been lying on, he wanted nothing more than to excuse himself and sneak out his window to see her.
However Paris had other things in mind. Just as Roman sat up to talk to his parents, she spoke up.
"So..?" She drawled, curling a strand of her hair around finger, effectively catching everyone's attention.
Her hazel eyes, much like Roman and their mother's, narrowed slyly at Roman himself. "Did Faith like her gift?"
Roman wanted to strangle Paris when he saw his mother sit up in her place with a giddy look. He didn't want his parents to know about Faith.
He just didn't want them to get any wrong ideas about him and Faith. Not until he was sure what he felt himself.
Amara Winter, in all her graceful glory, looked between her kids. "Who is this Faith I keep hearing about?" She inquired curiously and beside her, Austin Winter, let out an exhausted sigh because his wife's family had been tiring and now his wife's wish to know what goes on in Roman's life can lead to another argument which he wasn't ready for.
London, who till this stage was only grinning, snickered. "She's Rome's girlfriend."
Roman threw a pillow at his brother's face, which caused him to fall back on the couch. "Shut up," he grumbled to London before turning to his mom and continued, "She's just a friend mom. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm really tired. I'm going to my room."
He walked out the room without looking back, because he knew London was going to spice things up.
His brother was an asshole. Roman was still having trouble understanding why Faith had looked starstruck when she had meet London.
Entering his room, he had barely fell on his bed, when a question bounced around his room, "I'm still waiting for an answer."
Roman looked at Paris, leaning against the door and rolled his eyes.
