Monday morning came quicker than I wanted. I groaned in bed as my sixth alarm blared.
Last night's conversation with Jasper had kept me up late. I had pondered over it for a very long time and now I can't get out of bed.
After giving myself a peptalk on why school is important, I mustered the strength to get out of bed and sluggishly got ready.
I walked downstairs, and towards the kitchen, knowing Jake would be on his way to pick me up since I was instructed to give the Jeep to Jasper.
However, I was not expecting to see Jasper idly sitting on counter chair, stirring his coffee while Jenny made breakfast.
His sharp eyes turned my way and he gave me a once-over, before stating, "You're ready"
Jenny, however, scoffed at this. "Like she doesn't know that on her own." The two glared at each other before Jenny turned to give me her brightest smile. "Morning darling."
It was Jasper's turn to scoff, which I ignored as I greeted Jenny back while I took the plate of eggs from her.
Turning to Jasper, I noticed that he was ready as well.
"Are you leaving?" I asked with a raised eyebrow, which caused the lean man to smirk.
"No chance."
I rolled my eyes, scoffing down the food. "Well I guess I-"
I was cut off by a shout. "Miley get off him!" Followed by loud noises and my eyes widened.
"Oh God," I groaned, realizing that Miley must've come to pick me up as well. Exchanging looks with Jenny, the two of us rushed towards the door.
Stepping out of the house, I founding myself looking at Lina, failing at trying to keep Miley away from Jake, who was on the ground.
Miley must've heard the door open, because her gaze shifted my way with accusations. "Why the fuck is he here?"
Though Jake didn't give me the chance to reply. "I'm here to pick Faith up like I always do," he said, dusting grass off him as he got up.
"Like you always did," Miley sneered and Jake's jaw clenched. "Faith doesn't need a spineless bastard in her life."
"She also doesn't need an ungrateful idiot, but here we are," Jake retorted and I shook my head at his idioticity.
"Ungrateful?" Miley echoed, her gazed filtering between the three of us before she breathed through nose in anger. "How dare you call me ungrateful?"
Taking that as my cue, I stepped forward. "Stop it. Both of you."
Miley narrowed her eyes at me. "Tell him you're not going to chose him over us."
Jake turned to look at me as well with crossed arms. "Tell her to stop being so fucking stubborn!"
Miley turned to him as well. "She's not going to ride with you," she screamed.
"She's not going to ride with you either," Jake retorted and I felt the urge to rip my hair out.
Though before Miley could say anything, a third voice intervened. "She's not going with either of you, I'm driving her to school."
The four of us turned to look at Jasper leaning against the door and I huffed.
Ignoring Jake's "Who's he?" I narrowed my eyes. "No way," I protested. "You're not driving me anywhere."
