"Like you broke mine?"Roman froze. The arm in my grip clenched, and I felt the veins under my hand thump loudly with every beat of his heart.
Slowly, he turned to look at me. His eyes lost the edge they had a few moments ago as they roamed my face. "You're drunk," he deflected.
"Maybe," I shrugged, not really knowing where this was headed, but not wanting for it to end. "But so are you."
Roman exhaled in defeat, shuffling so that his body was turned my way. "Faith," He whispered my name softly.
"I," I breathed out. Tears welling up in my eyes at the way he said my name. "Just-"
When I cut off once more, Roman brought his hand to tuck a loose strand behind my ear.
"You just what?" He asked, leaning close which caused me to close my eyes.
Huffing, I shook my head. Having him so close was intoxicating in its own way, the affects of previously consumed alcohol dimming.
Stepping back, I let my hand drop. "Just forget it. This was a bad idea. I should go find my friends." Something flashed in the Roman's eyes, at the mention of friends and I didn't feel comfortable with the way his lips turned into a half sneer. "I shouldn't have come."
I turned around but it was Roman's turn to stop me. Grabbing my arm, he pulled me close to him, flushed against his chest.
"And why not?" He smirked, leaning down. "Did you not come to see me? Because it's my birthday?"
Oh fuck.
That's what I was forgetting - his birthday.
I mentally face palmed. Not that it would've made a difference had I remembered or not, because it wasn't like I was going to text him or anything but I felt guilt settle in my stomach.
Roman must've noticed my face drop because his face as well. His lips formed an 'o' as he let go of my arm. "You didn't remember."
It happened all to quickly.
One second he's taking a step back, panic raising in my head in that second, the next my hands are gripping the back of his neck to bring his lips to mine.
It took me a moment to realize what I have done.
But in my defence, I panicked.
I was going to step back and run - because that would've been easier than to face the heartbreak that would come after this - but Roman's hands - that were stilled by his sides - grabbed my waist pulling me closer, as he finally got hold of what was happening.
It didn't take him long to take control of the kiss, a growl ripping through his throat that had me smiling against his lips.
He pushed me back against the wall. My hands made their way up his hair. His hands that were gripping my waist, slid down to my thighs.
He pulled me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist as I slid higher on the wall.
With the new height, Roman let go of my lips only to drag his lips down my throat and I tilted my head to give him better access.
His lips found my pulsing point and he placed a kiss on it before biting down on it. I moaned his name out loud, pulling on his hair.
"Roman."
