It was the way you laughed;
I knew I wanted that in my life.

I wasn't expecting Roman's face to be so close to mine when I woke up the next morning, which was why I screamed.Roman wasn't expecting me to be so loud either, which is why he yelped in his place, before rolling over, which resulted in him falling out of bed.
"What the hell?" I shouted, looking at his fallen form. "Why are you in my bed?"
Massaging his shoulder, Roman sat up, throwing me an irritated glance. "I was uncomfortable on the floor. "
"So you took that as an invitation to get into my bed?" I scoffed and Roman narrowed his eyes at me. Resting his elbows on the bed, he leaned closer to my face.
"You didn't mind hanging onto me like a koala, a few minutes ago," he retorted and my face flared up, because I knew for a fact that I was a cuddler.
Sky always complained that I cut his breathing system out, whenever I slept next to him after a nightmare.
"Faith."
"Don't come in," I instinctly shouted when Jenny started pounding on my door, and Roman flinched because his face was close to mine.
The pounding stopped, and Jenny suspicious questiond from the other side of the door. "Why?"
"I'm indecent," I blurted out the first thing that came to my mind, and Roman raised an eyebrow, finally taking in my Powerpuff girl pyjamas, which he might not have noticed last night.
"Okay," Jenny hesitantly replied back, while I tried to get out of bed and ended up falling on the either side of Roman.
"I heard a scream, are you okay?"
Oh Jenny. Poor, poor Jenny. Am I ever okay? "Yeah. I just fell out of bed,"I winced back, signalling Roman to lie down so Jenny wouldn't see him.
"You can come in now," I shouted and not a moment later Jenny walked in.
Jenny had been taking care of my brothers and me because both my parents used to work.
She was a widow, whose only child had joined the army and had later passed away. She stayed at our place, keeping me company since my brothers left.
"You need to stop doing that," she chided, placing her hands on her hips. "You might hurt yourself someday."
I gave her a thumbs up as I stood up rubbing my butt. "Yeah. I'll keep that in mind."
Shaking her head, she sighed. "For a second, I thought you might have seen yourself in the mirror again."
My face reddened, and for a fleeting second, my eyes shifted to where Roman was, knowing well enough he was never going to let this slid.
"That happened once and only because I had a hangover," I defended, and Jenny rolled her eyes.
"Whatever you say," she waved me off as she turned to leave. "Now get dressed and come down for breakfast, or you'll be late for school."
I nodded and waited for her to close the door, before looking to the other side of the bed from where Roman's head popped out.
"The mirror," he said with a sly smile, before bursting out into laughter and I pouted.
Throwing a pillow his way, I mumbled, "Shut up."
As he continued to laughed, I only stared at him, trying to decide whether he was bipolar or not. That and thinking that he had a nice laugh.
Shaking my head, I had noticed Roman had started to sober up until he asked, "What?"
I was going to be a party pooper, but the elephant in the room needed to be addressed. "How much of last night do you remember?"
That immediately got him to shut up. Sitting up straight, he answered, "Everything. I tend to remember my drunk rendezvous."
The way he was looking at me, felt as though he was making a pointer at me but I didn't know why.
"I may not have any control over what I do, but I remember them," he continued, standing up.
"So do you regret telling me?" I nervously asked, fidgeting with my hands.
Roman didn't say anything as he rounded the bed and I took a step back. And then another until my back hit the wall.
But that didn't stop Roman. He came closer and put his hands on the wall on either side of my head, trapping me.
I closed my eyes when his breathe fanned my cheek, as he dragged his mouth towards my ear. "Only if someone else finds out."
Turning my head towards his, I dared, "And then what?"
Roman looked me stare in the eye, before his eye drifted to my lips and then back up. I held my breath as his lips tilted into a sly smirk.
"I'll tell everyone about how you scream after looking at-"
I pushed him away, and his shoulders shook with silent laughter.
Creating distance between us, I threw another pillow at him and he dodged it. "Okay stop. Go before Jenny sees you. I need to change as well," I instructed as I turned away to hid my blazing cheeks.
Chuckling, he made his way over to the window. But before he could go out, I stopped him.
I had to. I had to tell him what I wanted to ever since he told me that Allison was in coma.
"Roman." He turned and I smiled at him softly. "She'll wake up. Just don't give up hope."
He seemed startled for a moment. He hesitantly nodded, before going out. Leaving me to my thoughts, as I got ready for school.
